Worst product Fiskars makes.
Blade breaks. Metal carbiner clip detaches. IMO, this saw is the worst product Fiskars makes. I own and use (trailblazing and trail maintenance) many Fiskars products. Some Fiskars products, like the 29" machete axe, hookaroon, various hatchets, and handheld brush axe, are best in class. A few products are at the other end of the spectrum, like this saw. The aggressive size and grind of the saw teeth need a strong blade.... my blade snapped in two. Do NOT push on the blade when cutting (even though the listing asserts "push and pull" ... use only pull strokes... then your blade will last past the return period before it snaps, like mine did.

Fiskars
I bought this 5 years ago for MTBing, Kayaking, camping, hunting, pruning, trail clearing, all around use. It lives in my go bag and has had heavy use, even survived a structure fire...barely. I finally broke the blade a couple weeks ago while clearing a trail on our farm. It was a 3 inch sapling, and the blade was pinched,it shattered in 3 pieces as stated in several other reviews, however I standby the product, and take the blame for letting the blade get pinched and still pushing on the handle. I have cut timber, firewood, hurricane storm cleanup with hand and chainsaws since I was a teenager. This handy little saw is worth every dime,it is light and the clip is handy. I own several fiskars cutting tools, their steel is quality, and it makes it easier for me to get my work done.

Fabulous saw.
This is more than excellent, it is a terrific pruning saw. I got it because I needed a new one for pruning my apple trees. It is clearly the best I have used. I have had several similar saws but what sets this one apart from most others is the cutting design. It has alternating teeth that cut in opposite directions, very compact teeth (lots of them!) so it effectively cuts in both directions. Of course you do not have to apply cutting pressure in both directions if you do not want to, but you can for really fast cutting or cut in either direction as the situation dictates. The only drawback I can see at all is that if you ever decide to sharpen it it would be a bit tedious and you would need a very fine file, but I do not consider this a negative but just a part of having a saw that works in this fashion. Very highly recommended.

Good tool for yardwork
I needed something that would easily cut small limbs and roots. This is the ticket. One still needs to use lots of “elbow grease”, but that should be expected when cutting/trimming live branches etc.

Fast-cutting Saw
My Fiskars 9258 10-inch Power Tooth Pruning Saw is working well for clearing small, downed trees across my woodland trails. It's lightweight and the blade is quick to deploy. The very sharp teeth quickly cut through logs up to 4 inches in diameter. The carabiner clip doesn't work for me as I'm usually wearing a large backpack with a wide waist belt and I travel through dense brush and forest. If I were using this saw in the garden, it might be handy to clip it into my belt loop. The one thing that would have made me like this saw even better is if the handle were in a bright color - orange or red. Black blends in with the forest floor. I have to be careful to note the location when I lay down the saw. I am going to put a band of red duct tape somewhere on the handle.
