Numerical Relativity: Starting from Scratch

A great introductory book
This book does justice to NR as an introductory book. It has 5 chapters and it tries to make NR intuitive by comparing it to Electrodynamics and by performing the 3+1 decomposition on Tensor Maxwell's equations (2nd and the biggest chapter). 1st chapter is an overview of GR and chapters 3,4 and 5 are basically solving the constraint and evolution equations. It doesn't elaborate much on coding but does provide an NR code at the end. As I said, if you are looking for an introductory NR book, this is it. But to get a deeper understanding of NR and coding it, the other NR book written by them should be used.

Great little book
Very clearly written book with nice glossy pages, color-coded equations, and high-quality figures.
