Colorflame Candle Composition • 95% - Trimethyl Citrate - is an ester of citric acid and used as a food additive. • 2% - Clove Oil - essential oil from the Clove Plant. • 1.5% - Stearin - found in tropical plants such as Palms. It is used as tallow in the manufacture of candles and soap. We than add either naturally re-occurring salts or metals to achieve the different colored flames: Red (Pink) • Stearamide-Colorless leaflets with a melting point of 109°C; Used in many personal care products. • Lithium Propanoate-an organic-metal salt • Red/Pink Pigment Yellow (Orange) • Stearamide-Colorless leaflets with a melting point of 109°C; Used in many personal care products. • Sodium Citrate- refers to any of the three sodium salts of citric acid. Trisodium citrate is used in medicine and is employed as a flavoring agent in certain varieties of club soda, as it possesses a saline, mildly tart flavor. • Yellow Pigment Blue • Stearamide-Colorless leaflets with a melting point of 109°C; Used in many personal care products. • Potassium aluminum - is a naturally occurring sulfate mineral used in medicines and baking powder, in dyeing, papermaking, and tanning.
