Pros:-The app is easy to use and install on the computer, as well as phones.-I can see the baby very well. Image quality is a little grainy, but it's nothing that obstructs my view, and I didn't expect a super high quality camera.-The range of the camera is wonderful. The camera can follow the baby anywhere she goes, even when she knocks it over. I can also see across the room, even though she's never that far away from it.-I can see her just as well in night vision as day vision.-Wi-Fi connectivity is great. The camera is in the opposite corner of the house (only a 1,000 sq ft, but still), and it still works well (70%+ connectivity). I haven't noticed a delay at all.Cons-There is no function to turn night mode on/off, and there is a very loud click when it swaps views. When I'm watching on my phone, it's unbearable, and it wakes the baby. I have to attempt to position the camera in a way that keeps it in one mode or the other, and that is not easy. I can point it directly at a sunny window, and it will still flip back and forth. It isn't a problem at night when all lights are off, but nap time is hit-or-miss.-It has to be plugged in, and the baby is obsessed with playing with it. It would probably be better if I mounted it somewhere, but we move her from the bed to the crib and I need to be able to move the camera, too.-It makes a loud sound whenever you plug it in. If I need to unplug it to move it, I have to smother it with a pillow to avoid waking the baby, and that doesn't always work.Conclusion-Great camera. I definitely wouldn't buy it again as a baby monitor.

We've bought the camera a little over a week ago now but I'm still learning the ropes. I'm very impressed to get all this, for less than $40. The image quality is very clear, and I really like the ability to scan around a room via the app on my phone. We have another camera set up in our living room that has far less features. And now I truely have seen the light. This camera is far more advanced beyond what I had originally anticipated.The motion detection feature is really pretty cool. It will give you an alert each time. I set up the camera in our kitchen near our new cats feeding station. I wanted to see his patterns and if he comes out more there than the another room. When Milo came in, the camera detected him and began following his movements. He was intrigued at the noise which was noticeable, but not loud, of the camera clicking and turning. Plus you have the option to set it to not move too of course. During the night it appears in black and white and during in the day everything is in bright bold colors. I highly recommend this product if you have babies. There's an amazing feature if your child cries which is awesome for parents. One of my favorite things is if you tap on the playback it shows how long the camera detected the motions. It doesn't stop recording after a few seconds like my other camera. If there is still motion in front of it, it will go on for minutes or however long the motion is. I miss whole sections of play times with my cat on my other camera because it only records for a few seconds at a time and that is so frustrating. Another fun feature is being able to take pictures or record live or via playback. There's a spot for a micro sd card right in the camera or you can save it to the cloud.So in conclusion if you buy the camera you are getting a really great deal. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Update: Still the worst! Product MUST be online in order to work. You cannot access your camera at all if you’re wifi is down. The app runs on odd encrypted channels that are constantly buffering freezing and it bumps offline constantly essentially making the product absolutely useless since it doesn’t work unless connected. You must also pay for in app features if you want to use the product the way it’s advertised on Amazon, and they run little tag sale ads on your app when all you want to do is keep an eye on your child/pet/property, but you can’t because the product functions so poorly. Thoroughly disappointed in this product. It was an absolute waste of money.DO NOT BUY!!!!!I reached out to the company & tech services in app where I received bot replies with no remedy to the real issues attached to this product. I highly recommend you DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.The app that comes with this is the worst app I’ve ever used! It freezes nearly every time I go into it. I try and reset it but it’s almost never working correctly. It’s jumpy & not clear. The motion detector seems to pick up absolutely everything which isn’t a good feature, my pets breath deeply, wiggles an ear, a bug flies by & it’s notifying me. The littlest movements get picked up so I can’t decipher between the constant notifications which means I’m being forced to check the camera (which barely works on app) every five minutes. It’s incredibly frustrating. The app also constantly asks you to upgrade or pay money to get better quality which is a poor way to conduct business. The product & app should work from the beginning not after you dump more money into the app. Super disappointing all around! Zero stars!!!!Update: This product has made my life more stressful not less. It’s seriously unnecessarily touchy & requires constant resets/reboots in & out of app, crossing fingers each time you reenter hoping for a decent picture with no freezing. I honestly hate this product. I’m super disappointed in the app, it’s a huge fail.

After using this camera and two others for over a year, my blood pressure has gone up, and I’ve developed an ulcer. Can I blame that ENTIRELY on this product? Maybe not. But at least 80% of my frustration is due to my continued attempts to get them to simply CONTINUE TO DO WHAT THEY ONCE DID. Constant updates result in a revolving array of varying performance issues. But this last one is perhaps the worst. Like most of you I rely as much, if not more, on being able to HEAR my 97 year old mother when she is in bed. But the latest update (about a month ago) causes the sound option to work for less than 5 minutes, then turn itself off. This means that you have to be staring at your phone ALL THE TIME in order to know if your baby or elderly loved one needs attention.Other updates changed the way you could record. At one point, there was a motion activated feature. Wow! What a great idea! Too bad it doesn’t work anymore. Then there was the “film strip” at the bottom of the monitor screen (phone) that you could replay. THEN, I was able to use the micro SIM card (not included) to record. THEN the only option was to use the cloud which is a subscription only service. BUT WAIT! Now I can record anytime I want to, take a 180 degree panorama photo, and have all of that simply stored in the app!!! BUT, what I CANNOT do is LISTEN to my mother’s room so that I will know when she is choking, or just wants to go potty!!!! Ummm....pretty important feature.Why have I continued to use these stupid camera? Because I keep holding out hope that the next update will fix this problem. But, INSTEAD, it has just gotten worse. Now they “reload” every 5-10 minutes and there is no connection at all during that time. This has nothing to do with my internet. The router is less than 20 feet away, and my streaming service continues without a blip during these times.If I could buy a camera system that is made in the USA, I would do it in a heartbeat, regardless of the cost. If you have t noticed already, the vast majority of baby/nanny/security cameras all look basically alike. And they are all made and CONTROLLED by software creators in China. And guess what? They don’t care if your product works or not. There is absolutely ZERO customer support. But, because I am fed up, and because friends have had better experiences with the SWANN version of this same (guts-wise) camera, I’ve ordered two of them. Look for my review when I’ve used them for awhile...

For the price it can’t be beat. 1080p, night vision, motorized camera head that turns 340 degrees, up and down, and has zoom in/out features. I honestly figured it was just a stationary camera with zoom and night vision. It even has a speaker and a mic for 2 way talking! I have a Canary cam that I got 6 months ago and it has never worked. It won’t pair with any device and customer support is a joke! This cam I was up and running in two minutes after unboxing! I’ve already ordered another! Super easy to use app-interface, great customer support (they sent me an email asking if I needed any help), and that was right I set up the app and camera! Night vision works great and switches automatically. The motion detection works great, and it has an alarm feature too!! It has really good picture quality (which shocked me, especially at $20). Zoom works great, you can have multiple users access the camera (or cameras!), and the app boots quickly too. It comes with stand that swivels and extends as well (it works great too). All in all, it’s just what I was looking for and more.
