Beautiful, useful little lamp, exquisitely made by a family-owned company in the USA!

I got this lantern to replace a cheap lantern i had that was leaking. This lantern was well made. It is EXCEPTIONALLY well packaged for shipping, the entire thing was bubble wrapped and packed in thick packing paper. The lantern is bright and puts off a lot of light. If you are looking for a nice, small, lantern I would buy this in a heartbeat. When I initially ordered this product I thought the price was a bit on the high side, after receiving my lantern I think it is a case of, you get what you pay for. The quality, fit, and finish are all very good.Over all I would highly recommend this product and this company!

I received my Vermont Lanterns Brass Mini XL 7" - Small Oil Lamp (Antique Brass) today. It came fast in a couple of days along with another one of the Vermont Lanterns Dorset 8" oil lamps that I already have one of. I'm sitting here now burning the Brass Mini XL 7" while I'm typing this. I don't use kerosene in my oil lamps, only lamp oil. The flame in the Brass Mini XL 7" is as smooth and steady as can be; just perfect. There is not one negative thing I can say about this lamp, all I can do is go on and on about what I like about it.This Brass Mini XL 7" will be my go-to hand warmer from now on until the end of winter sitting on my desk waiting for me to come inside from shoveling the newly fallen snow. Cup your hands over one of these for real instant heat! Plus love the small size because it hardly takes any room and I can put it right where I need it.I didn't buy these lamps for fashion or how good they do look on my table. I got them so I won't freeze to death here in Cleveland perhaps during an ice storm that brings power lines down for maybe days. Most likely that won't ever happen, but with the crazy weather in this day and age I would not rule that out from happening.I have a few LED lights/lanterns for power outages and they all work great. And they all do absolutely nothing for providing heat in a cold house on a winter day ( or night ).I don't consider myself to be a prepper but something like these Vermont Lanterns Brass Mini XL 7" - Small Oil Lamps go a long way towards surviving a power-down situation when there is no other options available.I like the Vermont Lanterns line of table lamps so much because they work so well and are all so solidly built, ( a rarity in this day and age ) that I think my biggest problem with them will be resisting the urge to order more of them.....Oh wait, I have more space for a lamp over there!

This is a nice little lamp and provides a good amount of light for it's size. My only issue is the fit and finish. There are some sort of tiny bumps underneath the finish that are very apparent. There was a small dent on the bottom when I received it. The little pieces that hold the globe are kind of chintzy and there are some sharp unfinished edges. Theres one small tab sticking up (in the photos), I guess from being improperly cut? Other than the finish, it performs as expected and hopefully will hold up for many years to come.

Yes this is small. The dimensions listed were accurate. It's adorable and perfect. It came heavily wrapped in two pieces with an extra wick.

Excellent fit and finish. Flange holds the chimney well (no wobble). Smooth wick adjustment.

Looks big in the photos but actual size is very small.

Looks just like the picture. Beautiful in appearance and quality. I saw some reviews with complaints o. The small size, but reading the description I was very clear on the size. It is exactly as described.
