Better The Day - Kids Invisible Floating Bookshelf, 36 inch, Clear Acrylic Wall Shelf

Flimsy. Droops forward. BROKE OFF WALL.Flimsy. We installed these two weeks ago (in my 4 year olds room) and already they are drooping forward from the weight of the books. It looks terrible, but we had to drill such massive holes in the wall to install these shelves that I don't really want to return them. The books all lean forward instead of back because the plastic isn't stiff enough to hold them up. Maybe if there were more screws in the back it would help keep them from bending? Or, be made out of stiffer plastic? It's unfortunate that we paid so much for something that wasn't made strong.UPDATE 10/13/17: SHELF BROKE OFF WALL AFTER 5 MONTHS OF LIGHT USE. SELLER WILL NOT HONOR 1 YEAR WARRANTY BECAUSE I DIDN'T REGISTER WITHIN 30 DAYS OF PURCHASE.The plastic broke in half. This is not a drywall or wall anchor issue.UPDATE 10/22/17: SELLER REFUNDED OUR MONEY. I PURCHASED A CLOUDZERO SHELF TO REPLACE IT. IT'S FANTASTIC. EVERYTHING THIS SHELF SHOULD HAVE BEEN.

Great for display not so much for kids to handle. They look great but I am also counting down the days until my 3yr old breaks it. I see the plastic bend forward when ever my LO takes a book from yhe shelf. Also, the books lean forward as the front part is too low.

This shelf made our nursery complete. It matches any decor because it's clear, yet it's still playful with books in it. The 36" shelf holds up to 50 pounds, which is a lot--you'll run out of space before you hit the weight limit. It holds about 20 baby books (including thick board books) or 30+ non-board books. I think the price is a bit steep for an acrylic shelf, but I looked everywhere online and could NOT find it cheaper at this width. CB2 has some that are not as wide for more money. Target, Walmart, Etsy, World Market...this shelf is still your best bet. It comes with great instructions that literally tell you how to install drywall screws. Just DON'T INSTALL THE DRYWALL SCREWS INTO A WALL STUD! I made the mistake of not using a studfinder before trying to hang up the shelf, and one of the plastic drywall anchors BROKE OFF IN THE WALL! It made a huge hole, which was a pain to patch up. I ended up using molly bolts instead of the provided screws because the molly wall holes were much smaller, could go into wood studs, and we're still rated to hold 50 lbs. Anyway, this shelf is perfect for books, though I could see someone using it for spices, a photo display, makeup organization, recipes, to hold chalk on a chalk wall, vitamin bottles, toys...the uses are endless. Love love love.

The review I originally posted was about not receiving my hardware for one of the shelves I ordered. “Better The Day” sent me the missing hardware along with a sweet personalized note. I was so happy and I love the three shelves I purchased for my sons room. I am probably going to buy more as we have many more books now. Very happy with my purchase! :)

The shelves are beautiful! I waited a few months before I actually bought them, hoping to find a comparable product at a cheaper price, but in the end I went with these shelves and I am glad I did! They hold the books securely a nd the ledge is deep enough that I foresee some small toys and figurines making an appearance as well! They are also easy to hang and all supplies included... minus a drill and level!

Love this shelf! I did have trouble installing the dry wall anchors and ended up not using them, but the shelf looks great and has been holding strong for a week with no issues (it may have just been that I never use those and probably did it wrong so I didn't take away any stars for that). I love that it is clear so my son can see the books he wants to read.

Love this bookshelf. Will be ordering a second one. It allows me easy access to my son's books which encourages me to read to him daily.

Was weary of buying because I thought the price was high but we love it! It is perfect for my one year old's play room. I might just have to get a second one!
