This is a fantastic light strip!! Our pantry didn't have a light, so we installed this and it's made a wonderful change for us. It is bright, but not too much. And because it's a strip, it would light up areas a single light would not. We are incredibly happy with this. I even had issues with the light about a month past the return window. The seller had great customer service, and quick to respond - - SO appreciated!!

I’m renting, and my landlord chose to put a ceiling fan fixture in the kitchen for the only source of light other than that wimpy bulb from the microwave over the stove. (argh and double argh) I was desperate for more light, bought some dollar store LED lamps that are pretty handy, but it was annoying to have to plug each one in and move it around to get the light where I needed it. I decided to invest a few bucks in one of these strip lights, and I’m really glad I did. It was pretty straightforward to install, and so far it’s staying, but I do go back and press down any areas that start to come loose under the steam of cooking. I wasn’t prepared for the art of turning 90 degree corners in plane, or I would have sprung for connectors; now I know. Still, it makes a world of difference. I showed my landlord, and he was so impressed he was hoping I’d leave them. I will, of course; they won’t stick somewhere else, so there’s no benefit to doing otherwise. They make the small kitchen light up well enough that not only can I cook and bake more confidently, but I can also see anything that ends up on the variegated granite countertops, so I can clean it up. I hate cooking and washing dishes in inadequate light. He put in the brightest bulbs he could find, but it’s just the wrong fixture. Now I don’t have to care; these strip lights solved everything nicely. I stuck the switch to the side of a cabinet, so it’s not visible from the kitchen itself, but it could’ve gone under as well. Comes with a few handy adhesive clips for cord management that came in very useful. I like these so much that I’ve already decided I’ll buy more when I get a house of my own; my mom hates low light in the kitchen, too, and she will love this. I might put them in hers, too, if she wants, but I’ll do it right, use the corner bits there. Live and learn!

I used them for lighting a closet I use as my “garage”. They were easy to put up & provide adequate lighting at full brightness with no dimmer needed. Where I ran into issues was my requirement to have 2 strips - 1 under a shelf at eye level & one at ceiling height. The kit comes with a connector with a short wire (for connecting 2 strips @ a 90 degree angle?). I had to cut it & splice in a wire long enough for my needs (easy enough). The other issue that frustrated me (initially, until I figured out a solution) was the connectors themselves. When connected as would seem intuitive (lighted side of strip w/copper contacts toward metal tabs in connector), my second strip would not light. With a volt meter & continuity checker I isolated the problem to the connector itself. The best connection was to trim the corners of the lighting strip a bit to make the end narrower, then slide the end of the strip UNDER the metal tabs of the connector, with the copper contacts facing up touching the metal tabs, before closing the connector. That created a solid, reliable connection. Knowing what I know now, I would not hesitate to recommend these lights (along with the above suggestion). Easy to put up, stick very well, excellent lighting & 16’ is more than enough for just about any project. It would be nice to be able to buy extra connectors and a second power source to use the extra, unused striping on another project.

Installation would go much better and the final product would look much better if you were to provide a couple of true corner connectors without any dangling wiring, just the little "box" oriented at 90 degrees. You only provide straight, in-line connectors, but with so many feet to the strip, who needs to make it longer in a straight line? I, on the other hand, needed to use only about 3 feet times 2, with two 90 degree turns. I had to twist and turn the thing and only hope that the way I did it doesn't eventually cut off the wiring inside. Perhaps more importantly, the on/off switch takes a real hard push to operate. It is workable, but believe me, anyone who lacks just a little strength would have a hard time turning it on and off. They should have made that switch much easier to operate. What to do with all that extra-long wiring (from the outlet through the on-off switch to the fixture) is something else to figure out before you buy, especially if your outlet is close to where the fixture will go. On the bright side (...), the brightness is perfect, especially since you can control it, and the strip is thin enough so that you really have to bend down to see it under the cabinet (all that excess wiring is another story). Nevertheless, those three "cons" to this product, which may or may not apply in your case, certainly require planning ahead!
