Easy Peasy
This is one of the easiest pieces of furniture to assemble that I've assembled in quite some time. I'm not sure if people are getting different instruction books than me or what, but it was pretty standard in my opinion. Each piece is labeled with a letter (A-J or so, EXCEPT the stick on rug pieces weren't but it's obvious as they are 3 different sizes and only fit 1 place or another). The pictures in the instruction booklet implicitly tell you exactly which pieces are needed per step, as well as the hardware. Yes, the 2 sides of each boards have different amounts of holes so it is very important to pay attention and make sure you're following the diagram to ensure you've got the boards the correct way. I put one on backwards but it was pretty obvious when I moved to the next step. It was also quite simple to unscrew 2 screws, flip the board and carry on. I put this together in about 20 minutes but I also used a power drill. I can understand how it may take a little longer if you're not as experienced with doing this type of work but, I'm not sure how people are claiming it took 2 OR 3 HOURS! Obviously using a hand screwdriver vs a drill makes a difference but HOURS? I don't know about all that... Anywho, this is quite stable. We have a 25 pound cockapoo who took to it immediately. The top part is quite narrow as far as room to turn around but my pup just jumps from the top when he wants down. We are going to buy a second one to form more of a pyramid shape with stairs up either side, therefore allowing much more room for him to turn around and such. I would definitely recommend purchasing. It's such a unique piece of furniture that serves so many functions. I've placed it in my office/craft room and am in love with all the storage place this until provides. I'd buy it just for the unique storage and aesthetic! The fact that it's for my dog, and he loves it, just makes it all the more better.

Great pet storage unit and steps.
Purchased this unit to provide my pets access to a window view, as well as to store pet items used daily. Liked it so much I purchased a second unit to pair with the first. It is an attractive unit. Good quality, very sturdy and stable. Assembly instructions via diagrams were easy to follow, and assembly went quickly, except when it came to the point of adding a couple of pieces in the mid section where it requires a short screwdriver. It was difficult to tighten the screws due to the limited space, even with the short screwdriver. and I lost a lot of time assembling those pieces. Other than that, assembly went quickly. I wish additional fabric bins were available for purchase from the seller, as I would have liked to add a couple to match those that came with the unit. The units look great, provide needed storage and, most of all, a window view for my pets. I am very pleased with the purchases and I would highly recommend.

Great product, assembly tips &important note
It was easy to put together, did it myself and took a couple of suggestions from reviews - which were - #1-watch the holes on the boards to get right set up. They did a soft build before using the glue. I just went slow and watched the placements and looked ahead and didn’t have a problem #2 - Do step 4 before step 3. Trust me it works. MY hint - put something under it so you can build it upside down and not break the 1 board sticking out without support. (See first pic) **the only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is the top has an inch overhang of the rest of the unit. I didn’t notice this, but actually glad I didn’t before ordering as I probably would not have ordered it. But I am glad I did. I have a very tight space to put it in, (pic 2) luckily the overhang fits with my bed so it went over my footboard so it is flush with my bed. I was worried the overhang would interfere with my dog doing the last step, so far she went up twice - the overhang doesn’t seem to be an issue but the first step seems to be a little hard or intimidating to her. But with practice I’m confident she will do it. As others have said it would be nice to have the option of buying additional fabric drawers so they all match. It’s a beautiful piece and worth the money.

Looks good & dog loves it!
We wanted something that was more like a piece of furniture, looked nice, and helped the dog see out the window. I always read these reviews first before purchasing, so I took that advice before assembling. It arrived in a flat and heavy box, so be prepared as you may need a little help. All the pieces were included, and as suggested by others two sets of hands makes the assembly much easier. Each board is labeled with a letter and the directions don’t have much detail. You’ll need to depend on the pictures and pay close attention to the holes for the screws and pegs. We did a practice run and discovered we had flipped a board the wrong way. Once we were sure we had everything lined up the right way we started over and used wood glue on every peg. The pegs are for the short boards between each long board. Having read that some reviewers thought it didn’t hold together tightly over time I chose to use wood glue on each of the pegs for the short boards. I kept a paper towel handy to keep my hands clean as much as possible as I used the glue throughout the assembly. You will need your own medium sized Phillips head screw driver. There are small white dots of plastic with adhesive on the back to place over the screws for a more finished look. We put this together in about 80 minutes and it turned out beautiful. It looks like a piece of furniture and the gray and white goes perfectly in my brother’s home. It sits just below the bottom wood frame of his front window and with the pillow on top it’s just the right height for his dog to see out the window. The carpet squares for each step have Velcro strips with adhesive, so check your placement before removing the paper, because you aren’t moving the Velcro once pressed into place. The carpet removes for cleaning. His little dog is about 25 lbs with short legs and at first he did not want to get up on top, so we set him on top once and then placed treats on each step and the top pillow to entice him to climb. It took a full day before he was climbing up on his own and now he loves laying there and looking out at the world. The window perch is sturdy, beautiful, and a great value. We are very pleased with our purchase.

My older cat can now get to the bed
I bought this because my bed is high. I have a tall fram and a fluffy pillow top mattress. My older cat who is also on the heavier side was having trouble jumping up. He would have to climb the cat tree walk across my desk to get to the bed, usually dropping all in his path. I saw this as a nice fix and as storage for cat stuff, most of it I filled with craft supplies. Down sides for me, I don’t like white most of my space is black, gray tones wood tones and then pops of color. Fixed this quickly with contact paper though the thin edges I left white. Also the top is wider then the sides so it can’t be pushed flat against something like the bed or wall. I see the larger top gives more room for them to lay down but it would have been nicer if it could be pushed flat. You can’t cut the top or the pillow is now to big so I kept that as is for now. The feet have a non slide bottom it grips really well to the floor if wood or laminate. Great so animals feel secure, horrible for cleaning under. Mine is at the foot of the bed, also my litter box is also under the bed so kicked litter is a pain to clean under whole thing has to move. As a simple solution I got cheep furniture movers under the feet so it can now slide even with the movers the weight of it and the things on the shelves keep it from feeling unstable. I myself have stood on the bottom step with no problem. I have noticed a bit of scratching on the steps from my cates it’s not a issue as that’s what they are food and to clean them it’s easy I’ve only had to hand vacuum them a few times to get the hair. All and all I love it and the look and function after a bit of modification. But that’s me being picky.

Sturdy and practical, with two caveats
I installed privacy film on a window and wanted to get my cat a perch to look over it. I liked the design of this because the open shelves still let the light in and I could put the fabric drawers in the two bottom slot for storage. This matched what I needed perfectly. Overall, this is a good piece of furniture. It’s a bit heavy, but that makes me more confident of its stability. I found it easy to put together on my own, with one caveat: if you only have a standard toolset, I recommend doing step four BEFORE step three. If you do set three first, then you have to install screws on the inside of one of the cubbies and my screwdriver was too long to fit in the space! Luckily I had a smaller one handy as a workaround, but doing step four first would have been much easier. The only other caveat I have is that my cat does NOT like the provided cushion for the top, probably due to the rustling/scrunching sound it makes. Note that in the picture, he’s perched on the small strip of carpeting on the edge! I solved this by replacing the cushion with a bit of cheap carpet square. Overall, though, I very much like how this came out.

my dog loves it!
my dog loves it now! she needed a little bit of treat fueled incentive to climb up on a new object at first, but when she got the concept she just hopped up and looked out the window. she likes sitting on it even when i have the windows closed for the night! The assembly is very straightforward but i had trouble because all i had was these cheap short handled dollar tree screwdrivers 💀 but when i used one of those rechargeable screwdrivers you get from target i was able to assemble it in like 15 minutes, its very easy, all the parts are labelled with letters and its just common sense from there on. maybe my arms are just weak idk, but the instructions were simple and the assembly is simple. if you have an actual good quality screwdriver you will be okay. its very sturdy (my dog is maybe like 25-30 pounds), theres also a lot of storage too! i basically replaced my shoe rack with this, so i store all my shoes in it and have room for her leash, harness, and poopy bags + more in a drawer/cubby. there is more storage area than i expected which is great. it blends very well with my current interior so i couldn’t be happier with it. very glad i chose this one!

Perfect for My Pup!
It's exactly as advertised, very sturdy, easy to assemble, and very easy for my pup to use! I have all black furniture, and it only comes in white, so I had to spray paint it black before assembling it, but it was definitely worth it! Now it matches all my furniture, and is a much more appealing addition to my bedroom then the crappy old plastic steps that I used to have for my dog. It's so easy for her to use, and the extra storage drawers are great for all her toys, sweaters, etc. My tiny doggo is only 5 pounds, and can get up and down with no problem. As you can see from the pictures, she also likes to chill on the cushion at the top!
