I previously tried a PEA supplement from this company and was impressed at the ingredients and sourcing. This is a high quality grape seed extract supplement which can be used by those who had benefits with the liquid but want to try it in pills. If you search for Grape Seed Extract on Amazon it's a shame these pills don't show up and the ones that do show up on the front page are really awful quality - gelatin caps, milk (??!), fillers, low dosage, you name it. While it's hard to compare different dosages due to extracts this one does seem to be much higher dosed than others. I thought it was a cute touch that they differentiate and added New Zealand specific grapes in this supplement. Pretty sure you won't find that in other grape seed extract pills! This company is based in New Zealand and has unique science based blends as well as going out of their way to make sure some of the ingredients are locally sourced, which I love. These are veggie caps. The only thing I don't like about them is that they have rice flour and some extra fillers. I have some chronic health problems and like to experiment with antioxidant supplements. I didn't notice much of a difference from this but I had no ill effects from it and I was happy to try it. If GSE works for you this supplement just seems miles ahead of other supplements and it's all concentrated into one small pill. Just hope they can tone down the fillers in the future. Thanks for bringing us these quality supplements!

I await to see if Plantain New Zealand is comparable to Terry Naturally product "Grape Seed Extract".

At 74, I am experiencing some of the effects of aging, and this really seems to help. I have been taking this for a month, and can notice the difference. Grape seed extract was one thing I found in my searches for natural BP support. I cannot say if this product helped, but my blood pressure has been lowered with change of diet and supplements which this is one. My searches also showed that grape seed extract is a supplement that helps shrink the prostate gland in older men. That with other supplements has done just that as I feel much better and only get up once a night now. I also have a problem with thinning skin and blood spots on my arms. That doesn’t seem to be a problem since taking these tablets. I like the fact that these have no artificial flavoring and preservatives, and non-GMO. This seems to be a high quality product that I will continue to take.

This grape seed extract is a good antioxidant. It’s great for the nervous system, circulatory system and immune system. I like that it comes in vegetarian friendly capsules. One capsule a day is the recommended serving size and it can be taken with or without food.

Beneficial healthy antioxidant preventative that works behind the scenes. No noticeable difference as far as physiological effects go, but I know this is doing it's benefit in places I can't see.

This Grape Seed Extract Plus from Plantonin Nootropic is pretty thorough. I've used a few other products from Plantonin Nootropic and found them to be nice quality for the price, this Grape Seed Extract Plus also follows that trend. The bottle contains 60 capsules, and each serving is 1 capsule, so 60 servings per bottle. Each capsule contains 500mg of Grape Seed Extract. 400mg of it is a 120:1 Grape Seed Extract (380mg equivalent of OPCs), and 100mg is of a NZ Grape Seed Extract (85mg equivalent of OPCs). The capsules are easy to swallow, and I notice no stomach upset or anything out of the ordinary from taking them. I like the product, however I'd prefer if there were more capsules. All I notice that is a bit different about this Grape Seed Extract compared to others is that this contains 100mg of, "NZ Grape Seed Extract".

Not quite sure of the 60k mg PAC dose touted but worked great for my inflamed hands. n=1 but they definitely feel better.

This brand is new to me but I had other supplements from the same country that were of superb quality, so I didn’t want to miss an opportunity of discovering another brand with excellent quality products. I tend to take this supplement at night when the skin regenerates during sleep. After two weeks of taking this extract every night, I noticed an improvement in how my skin looked and feels. It looks less dull and has a fresher, healthier tone. The grape seed extract is packed with vitamins and fatty/amino acids that stimulate cell turnover and natural collagen production. So apart from using daily specialised creams for my skin, it makes sense to support its maintenance processes from the inside. Apart from providing essential components for the skin to repair and regenerate, the extract improves blood circulation. I did notice my feet and hands feel warmer, so I don't have to wear bed socks to fall asleep now. Besides, I think that overall my face doesn’t have a waxy-pale appearance anymore. Perhaps it is wishful thinking, nevertheless, I'll carry on taking it because so far I'm impressed with the little changes that I have observed. Anyway, the quality of this supplement is excellent. No side effects such as bloating, nausea or feeling sluggish. No allergic reactions or itching, too. There's no funky odour coming from the capsules so my sensitive nose which cannot tolerate taking any pills with any aromas is happy.

Here are some thoughts about the advertised product. The price is quite high compared to rival products on Amazon but the dose of ‘active ingredient’ is 465mg which is higher than many of the rivals. I do not believe that a correct effective dose has yet been scientifically established Although the advert praises the low atmospheric pollution in NZ which is true - if you look carefully at the product detail the bulk of the seeds used are dried imported seed and about 25% of the seed is from NZ. I have no idea which country the imported seed comes from. When I lived in New Zealand I was also horrified by the almost indiscriminate use by the NZ government of the chemical 1080 ( Sodium fluoroacetate) which is sprayed from aircraft onto the land in NZ. 1080 is a poison banned in most other countries of the world so NZ's land is not free of this poison. I would also like some detail from Plantonin on the grape seed extraction process. It is possible to extract the ‘active ingredients using only alcohol and water - which is benign - I hope that this is the case for the product and that no other chemicals are used - perhaps Plantonin could confirm. As this product is manufactured to GMP in New Zealand I would be confident that the manufacturing quality of the product would be very high as NZ has rigorous quality control procedures. If you have difficulty swallowing medicine the capsule is quite large (see photo). Data from the NCCIH suggests that proanthocyanidins may, for some, be effective in chronic venous insufficiency, eye stress from glare, on blood pressure, may lower levels of LDL cholesterol, total cholesterol, triglycerides, and the inflammatory marker C-reactive protein and states grape seed extract is generally well tolerated when taken in moderate amounts. It has been tested safely for up to 11 months in human studies. However the extract may interact with some prescription medicines or healthcare conditions - so you should always check with your GP

My partner and I used to drink red wine because we read that it helps lower blood cholesterol, reduce oxidative damage, etc. But since we became tee-total, we don't want to miss out on the benefits of drinking wine. Supplements like these, grapeseed extract could give us the same benefits without the harmful side effects of alcohol. So far, this supplement has the highest and strongest dosage we have found available here in Amazon. Despite the high concentration, the capsule is easy to swallow and doesn't have any after taste. I have been taking this supplement for several days now and so far, no adverse reactions like bloating and hyperacidity. The blood pressure lowering aspect of it could not really be measured at the moment because we are also trying to live a healthy lifestyle. We usually use vegan and organic supplements but for the strength of this product, I was swayed to give it a trial. So far, I am pleased.
