I've never made popovers before so I was told I needed this special pan. And yes, you do. They turned out so perfect. You also need tapioca flour (which you can find here on Amazon) and you will have the perfect popovers

A Nice Surprise Gift, but it makes truly MINI popovers.
I missed the "mini" in the item title when I ordered it in the Amazon app. We were having dinner out, everyone loved the restaurant popovers so I snuck out my phone and ordered this for my spouse as a surprise. Why only have that enjoyable popover at a fancy restaurant, I say.I think the mini is truly mini and if I had known I would have ordered the regular size. But the results with this are very good and something that was first viewed as my impulse shopping is now considered a good find. I go agree having the Amazon App on my phone is very dangerous.
