Very effective.
By this time last year, all the tips of my young peach tree were gone. Wilted then dried out. I didn’t even know about peach tree borer until this day. Then after researching for the solution, I found this product in Amazon. A bit expensive for a fly catcher that might not work, but if it will save my tree, I’ll give it a try. Well, happy to say, that it works. Every morning I go out in the backyard I always notice the moths hovering in front of the trap. They go in but they don’t come out. I hang both traps and about 3 months later they’re almost filled up with moths ( and a bit of debris). Now, the tree is damage free. I re-order another set to replace the old once. For continued protection.

Seems to Work
Setup was easy and they did provide long twist-ties to attach it to the tree. There was also a helpful insert that showed the variety of moths it would attract and several did look like bees and that's what I caught and would've assumed that they were bees without the insert. The adhesive was sticky and the lure definitely worked. Biggest problem was that a storm blew through and the trap collapsed on itself and it was already getting too full of borer moths after just one week. The lure was supposed to last for 8 weeks so I'm wondering if I can dig it out of the sticky mess and improvise another trap with spider/pest glue board as I have a pretty bad infestation....anyway, might be nice if in the future they could have a better pocket in the middle/bottom of trap to place the lure and have it so it's more removable/reusable.

Protect your trees
I used this this year and they worked great so these are waiting to go on the peach trees this coming spring. It took some time to figure out what was wrong this year but this was a great solution!

They don't stay on the tree during a rain storm/wind
The twist ties don't hold up well and the hole at the top when rained on in the wind breaks and the trap ends up on the ground. The traps work very well, but they don't stay on the tree.

Catches many peach borers!
There are several types of borers/moths that this catches and they look like wasps but they indeed are clearwing moths and borers! I wouldn't give a lot of credence to the people that say these kill bees. I am trying to save the life of my peach tree which was attacked by borers/moths. Picked out several (13) maggot-like larvae from the cambium layer in the lower trunk bark. Then painted kaolin clay on the trunk and have been hanging these lures in the branches to trap the male borers before they mate with the females who lay eggs on the trunk. Had to change the traps several times now over 2 months because there were soo many borers. These work great! It's too early to tell if my tree will be saved but the product does what it says and my tree is still trying to grow peaches.

This product cannot catch even one moth
I have bought this product for a few years, it works well until this year (2025), they suddenly changed pheromone lures. I have placed traps for a month, it hasn’t caught any moths so far, previous years it has caught dozens at this time. I am pretty sure the reason is the lure, it was paper like before and changed to rubber like now. I was bought this rubber like lures from another vendor to try last year because it’s so cheap, it turned out it’s a scam. I guess they replaced lures from the same vendor to reduce cost this year, it’s a bad decision, I won’t buy this product in the future and I believe they will receive a lot of negative feedback soon.

Catches creepy moths
Clearwing moths don’t sound too bad until you realize they look like hornets and lay their eggs to burrow into your fruit, nut, poplar and other trees. Jebus h. No one told me how freaky this would be. I figured a moth is a moth. No. These are batesian mimics and they are invasive af. I called my county ag and they picked them up to do a formal ID. I actually now need more of these traps.

variable lure quality
placed multiple traps in a badly infested tree...results varied from just a few catches to a crowded trap with what I believe to be equally good trap placement
