Well designed kit
This light set is well designed and went together perfectly (in about an hour). All 10 of the lights worked well after assembling.I was very impressed with the power supply unit. It feels very solid and robust, and is larger and more heavy-duty than I expected. At less than $10 per lamp this is a very good deal!

Excellent value and quick installation. Tips and tricks:
The system installation went smoothly for me, and here's how I did it:Although the copper wiring is a thinner gauge, when you're ready to punch the wiring connection to the bulb base: the trick is to first align the two notch points (there's one on each side of the bulb base) to the middle groove on the wire. Then sticking in dowel and using a screwdriver to lock in the wires. To test each fixture connection, I started with the first fixture and repeated this procedure for each fixture:1. I used a voltmeter and switched the meter on the mode that beeps when there's a connection.2. After installing the first fixture, and with the light bulb REMOVED, I connected the voltmeter to the + and - of the bulb base.3. Confirmed no connection. There was no beep (if there is a connection, there is a short somewhere. Or check the transformer end or if you connected a light bulb in somewhere).4. Then I shorted (connected) the +/- transformer end wires together5. Tested the + and - of the bulb base again to confirm there was a connection. The voltmeter should beep at this point6. Remove the short +/- from the transformer end7. Repeat 2-7 for the rest8. Connect the bulbs to the fixtures9. Turn on systemI'm using the system with my 12V DC solar setup. The lights connect to an inline fuse with a wireless 12V switch. The switch connects to a car battery that's recharged with a solar panel. Excellent value with the Moonrays system.

Don't be scared off by some of the negative reviews!
OK... Best BANG for the buck. 10 lights for $40. Can't go wrong. Plastic? Sure! What isn't? Unless you want the $30 -$70 per lamp aluminum ones. If you do, you're not shopping here.My advice follows: 1. Never give an engineer a screw driver!!! An old ET saying :-) . Do not over complicate the process.Take your time and READ the instructions. But, ignore the "Don't connect the light sockets with the power on".Plan your install. Measure how far apart you want your lights. Do the wiring and socket connection where you are comfortable, with the power on. Power the cable, insert a bulb in your socket, bend your wire, insert it through the standoff and push it into the contact pins in the socket. If the bulb does not light, pull it out and retry. Once the bulb comes on, even momentarily, put the cam lock in and seat it. Done. Go on to the next light. Once all are done and lit, assemble the lens assembly and install.Go plant them.As for the comments about the caps fly off. It clearly states in the instructions to "Snap" the caps on. Feels pretty secure on mine.As for the short cord comments: I spaced my 10 lights 48 inches apart, with slack and ended up with 4 foot of cord to go to the power supply. So plan accordingly. In my case, the 4' got me to a wall and a 110vac extension cord got me to my outlet.I am a BIG fan of LEDs. So, I ordered 20 T10 warm white LED bulbs for $15. If the power supply is weak, as some have said, the extra couple bucks for the bulbs will certainly lighten the load. So, $55 total for 10 lamps. Less than half the cost of comparative sets, And, they look good. I may order another set or two.My 2 cents.

Good product - buy extra bulbs
The lights are great. There's lots of them, and they look fantastic. My order arrived and some parts were missing. Amazon was great about sending a replacement within a few days.2 knocks to be aware of:1. Setup is a bit tricky - full assembly is required and I ran into some snags getting a clean connection between the bulb housing and the copper cable, as you have to puncture the cable to make the connection.2. The bulbs are SUPER CHEAP. Go to home depot and buy an extra pack of 4w bulbs ($5 bucks). I have replaced 8 out of 10 bulbs in the first 6 weeks of use. Luckily they're easy to replace, but annoying all the same.Overall I'm happy with the lights and would recommend them to anyone looking to like up a dark pathway. Note - these aren't super bright area lights. They're simply meant to light a dark path and not much else.
