CTA Digital Height-Adjustable Gooseneck Floor Stand for iPad 2/3 (PAD-AFS)This is a fairly heavy duty robust tablet stand that is built with all metal where metal counts (base and shaft) and the rest of the unit is plastics (mount and tightening clamp)With a 12.9" samsung tablet which has a HEAVY DUTY case, the mount is easily able to secure the thick encased device with confidence. To give you an idea, my tablet is 13.5" diagonal and approx 0.5" thickness WITH the case. This mount is able to open wide enough (and more) to fit this diagonal measurement. Also in terms of thickness, the mount corners actually has ADJUSTABLE thickness. see picture. So even if i consider my tablet with case REALLY thick, it can accommodate more thickness! I will mention also, if you are considering mounting a thin tablet (ie: something without a case, then you will need FOAM spacers on the back to stick on. This will make your tablet mount onto the edges secure.The base and shaft is metal and has some weight. I find that it is well balanced and doesnt really need any more support to keep it standing. Gooseneck is stiff but you need it stiff to hold a heavy tablet otherwise it will sag --- some other reviews claim the gooseneck is HARDLY bendable?? really? no. I assure you its bendable and i would RATHER have it stiff because thats what it should be in order to support all weights of tablets securely.Lowest to highest approximation for where the MIDDLE of the tablet screen would stand? Around lowest 105 to highest 145cm. This is PLENTY adjustment to have for sitting position to standing position.Weaknesses?--- In order to accommodate thin and thick tablets, you need to put on this foam spacer (for thin). But once you apply the adhesive its permanent. That means if you are alternating between a thick cased tablet VS caseless tablet, you are a bit out of luck. You clearly cannot remove the adhesive spacer constantly.--- The adjustable height is tightened with a plastic ring ---> i really wish this were METAL.--- The angle adjustment on the tablet moount is HEX SCREW. without this, you cant adjust. I wish the screw was a wingtip or a knob so you dont need a tool!! very awkward if youre using this for formal lectern.--- I wish the gooseneck were BLACK not chrome. Just less sightly with black with a hard chrome look.So for the money, you really get a solid secure tablet stand. Clearly if youre looking for aesthetics (formal speaking environment) then i think this is a bit unsightly. But if this is just for home use? this is exceptional value. There are a lot of plastic pieces sure, but it's metal where it mostly counts. I'm' easily going to recommend this stand with those known caveats mentioned. Your call on whether those issues will bother you.

La solución que yo buscaba era poder ver y leer contenidos en mi iPad Pro de 9.7" desde mi cama, sin necesidad de estar sosteniendo el iPad.Algo así como el iPad suspendida en el aire en la posición que yo quiera. Con este producto, en combinación con otro, lo logré.Cuando llegó el producto (compré dos) el armado fue fácil y aunque el stand queda ligero, el cuello flexible y la posición que uno escoja para el iPad queda firme y no se mueve.El problema fue que a este stand, no le queda el iPad Pro de 9.7". Solo le queda el iPad 4. Yo lo compré confiado en que le iba a quedar porque me confundí con iPad Air, que los accesorios de iPad Air 2 son compatibles con iPad Pro 9.7" excepto en que tapan la cámara o parcialmente las bocinas.Este error mío finalmente resultó ser una ventaja: Para arreglar el problema compré unos soportes magnéticos de pared, pero en lugar de pegarlos a la pared, los pegué en el soporte del stand, y ahora puedo quitar y poner el iPad rápidamente en el stand y el soporte es perecto.No le doy las cinco estrellas porque la calidad del soporte en la parte baja podría ser mejor, aunque la verdad por el precio no me quejo.En conclusión, si le pegan un soporte magnético este se convierte en el stand perfecto para cualquier iPad.
