Kaolin Clay Chunks 13 OZ by Hannibals Diner

I feel the reviews on this beautiful tasty white dirt are mixed! But from my prospective this dirt is dusty, tasty, soft crunch, creamy, delicious after rain taste 😋 I've always luved this clay personally. But be aware that this clay like almost all clay when not stored correctly will collect scent of almost anything near it. Mason jar is preferred! Nice, but not the one I would buy again. Just because I’m used to chalk more than to clay. I prefer a chalk because you have to chew more to melt it. And this clay Has a very soft crunch, melting completely very fast, sticks to teeth. But has a nice earthy smell, almost has no taste. Otherwise it helped with my cravings.

Exactly what I wanted! I just started craving the creamy texture and smooth crunch of clay and finally summed up the courage to try some and this Kaolin clay is perfect! It has a earthy, damp taste like after a rainfall taste and is very soft to bit into. Too soft for me I actually oven dried it to make it a bit crunchier (350 degrees for 20 min) and let it cool for 1 hr. So yummy I have to pace myself. The chunks were rather large so I broke them up to make them easier to bite. Enjoy!

WAY too 'gummy', had a 'sweet' after taste that was off putting and was really gritty. Had a bit of good crunch but once the gummy kicks in I had to spit it out, kind of a waste of money. I even tried baking it which seemed to make some of the 'gummy' go away but made the taste so much worse. I'm sticking with chalk.

Revised Review May 16, 2017. This recent order I received tasted like chemicals. This is not a pure batch. I'm very disappointed. Original review---I'm hooked. I hadn't had this since I was a little girl and my mom would let me try hers. Then all of a sudden, 15 years later, I got a craving that I could not shake and went searching on Amazon. This is the real deal. Pure, clean taste. I like to put it in the oven on 300 degrees for about 10 minutes to dry it out a bit because I like mine a bit more crunchy. Arrives quickly and there is quite a bit in the ziploc.

My sister loves it. She can eat it fresh as soon as it comes in or sometimes she lets it breath for a few days and treats herself to it then. Either way she can't get enough of it. She says the texture, flavor, and amount are worth the price. Happy for her

Very clean, free of small rock or sand pieces. Unfortunately it did not taste anything like the kaolin from back home. Threw it away

Exactly what I expected. Very damp earthy taste and huge chunks. I let them air out for a day away from any aroma and then gently hammered the chunks smaller. My mom used to eat this back in the 70 and 80s. I used to sneak in her bag. It taste the same and I will be ordering again.
