Comfortable
Nice comfortable strap. My only issue is that sometimes the quick release fittings rub against the resonator. It doesn't affect the sound but may scratch the finish.

Supreme comfort, stability while playing
I'm very new to learning the banjo and it became quickly apparent how important ergonomics and comfort are. The original strap I got with the banjo dug into my neck and exacerbated neck pain that was part of the 'learning process' as I adapted to how best to hold the banjo and play. I thought that a wider strap with more cushioning that would distribute the weight better was a good idea, and first bought - and then returned - a Perri's Leather Ltd banjo strap. I quickly discovered that the gizmo that affixes the strap to the banjo was metal and would easily scratch the instrument and ended up sending it back because the second time I used it, the grommet that affixes the clip to the strap broke, rendering the strap useless. I may have just been unlucky getting a faulty strap (no offense to Perri's) but it sent me on a search for a better strap. While the Neotech banjo strap isn't the most attractive thing, I honestly don't care - and it is pretty astonishing how much this strap seems not only to make it feel like the banjo weighs less (must be the way it distributes the weight with it's slightly stretchy design) but it makes it much easier to keep the banjo stable against the body. I also love the way the straps attach to the banjo itself: no danger of scratching the instrument and a secure snap-in quick release design means it's easy and fast to attach to the banjo. It could be that a more experienced player could do just fine with a more 'minimalist' thinner strap because they are well-versed, skilled, and used to best the way to hold and position the banjo with less body strain. But for a beginner like me, this strap feels like perfection. 1) There's none of that problem with a strap digging into the neck; 2) the width of the strap around the area where it most closely touches the body distributes weight nicely; and; 3) the cushioning and tiny bit of stretchiness somehow (magically?) creates the feeling that the banjo itself weighs less.

...I Love This Thing!
...I originally bought a leather strap with metal clips for my banjo...and I hated it as it sounded horrible clanking every time I put it on or took it off! Plus, I was concerned it would scratch my instrument...so I bought this strap to replace it. It weighs nothing, feels very sturdy, and is very comfortable while wearing it. Plus, it makes the banjo feel lighter somehow? On top of all that, it is almost 2/3rds the price of the leather strap!...I love it, and would order from this supplier again in a heartbeat!

Sturdy comfy strap!
I got this for my husband who has had neck & back fusions. He has a vey heavy banjitar that he wasn’t playing as he usually stands to play & it’s too heavy. Our Luthier turned us on to this strap, he has a few. My husband couldn’t be happier!
