This One Piece Celtic Shawl Pin has been created from Argentium sterling silver wire and made entirely by hand in my shop. Shinier in person than in the photo. This shawl pin has been hand forged of Argentium sterling silver wire in the ancient form of a circle or Penannular clasp. These were popular in the Celtic Period, through the Middle Ages and into the Renaissance. This brooch follows the traditional form of a circle with an opening in it. The clasp functions by inserting the middle pin into a knit or open weave fabric, then slide it through the opening and under the circle. Turn the circle to your preference. Argentium silver is a modern sterling silver alloy which modifies the traditional alloy (92.5% silver + 7.5% copper) by replacing some of the copper with the metalloid germanium.[1] As it contains at least 92.5% silver content of the traditional alloy, it is still referred to as sterling silver.

Beautiful but with issues
Is a nice piece could use an end knob on each side to prevent the "needle" from slipping off so easily. I've almost lost it 3 times because the little needle gets worked off the circle.

Cheap looking
Technically as advertised with the potential to be attractive given the right sweater to carry the look. But this looks cheap, no way around it. Flimsy packaging did not help
