I’ve spent about 9 months in SA and this stuff is pretty good. I’ve tried a lot of different biltong and droevorse here in the US. The meat just isn’t the same here but this, surprisingly, is the best I’ve found. The seasoning is on point. When I see jack links on the label I was dismissive. This isn’t a second rate Slim Jim. I’m on my 7th reorder. It’s not perfect but it’s the best of what’s around.

Awesome and flavorful, also the bag is stuffed, that's a lot of meat ! I will be ordering again !Simply seasoned, tastes like salt and some herbs, I love it !!! Pricey, but in my opinion this is agreat value.

I have tried tons of similar products. I have grown to hate the pressed jerky products so I began the search to replace my home made jerky which is outstanding. I have tried other biltong, this one is the first to exceed my high expectations. it is not too salty, no sugar, no preservatives just good. the fat adds GREAT flavor to it and moisture. the meat is not dried out and "dusty" like some others. one tip, mine was delivered on a 95 degree hot day, I opened it immediately and tried it - wow, supple, wonderful, and tasty. I put the rest in a zip lock in the fridge. It is good cold, but a few seconds in the nuker does wonders for it.

Just a touch bland compared to most biltong but some may prefer it that way.Bag is not resealable. Not the end of the world but would be nice with such a big bag.

This company sold out to jerky corporation Jack Link. The product now tastes completely different and is nothing like traditional biltong. This was my favorite mail order biltong until now. Steer clear if you like a traditional juicy fatty air dried biltong. This is no long it.In fact please order and give an honest rating so we can run this former great biltong into the ground.

Authentic flavor and texture. The other popular biltong product I have tried on Amazon is basically just American beef jerky with a catchy South African sounding name.This product is perfect, but may require some special packaging and/or handling: I noticed that the heat resulting from extended delivery time effected the smell and flavor (the delivered package also sat outdoors in the hot weather before I could pick it up) so I placed the opened package in the fridge immediately, then waited a couple of days before trying it again.Perhaps meat products like this without preservative need to be packaged with an ice pack and sent via expedited delivery in order to assure freshness.

This is hands down one of thee finest, highest quality and most delicious beef jerky that you will come across on amazon. I'm well aware of how massive amazon is and believe me, it will take you quite a bit of digging around in order to find something that will compete with this product. This isn't your quick-and-flip, mass produced, mumbo jumbo that you're all used to having at your local super market. No no... This... THIS, is the real deal; these guys know what they're doing. Not only do they know what they're doing, they have a PASSION for the craft in procuring a fine beef jerky.Now, I wouldn't consider myself a beef jerky expert, but I do know a thing or two about a great jerky, a good jerky, a mediocre jerky and a down right awful beef jerky...Long story short folks, get yourself a bag of this right here Biltong Depot Traditional Beef Biltong (..... with the fat of course)...You'll know what I mean...
