Cokin P Series Full Nd Filter Kit, Medium

Cheap for a reason.
It’s good but it’s not glass so there is a decrease in sharpness especially if you stack them altogether. Its very prone to smudges and is difficult to wipe away.

Great set of filters for those who cant or dont ...
Great set of filters for those who cant or dont want to get Lee filters. No colour cast but i would recommend getting some nice pouches to protect them

Quality product, with ease of use.
It has been a number of years since i lost all my cokin equipment so have been buying individual screw-in adaptors as and when, but you get to the point its just all too much in weight and storage space in your camera bag and decide to go back to cokin. I love cokin, so flexible, so easy to organise in your travel bag..........BUT you have to accept the price. this ND Filter kit for example. if money is very tight, id suggest buying screw-in filters, but if you feel you can spend more, over time, start to build up your cokin kit. So in terms of value for money, umm a challenge as it is expensive for small plates of tinted perspex, BUT quality and flexibility, it scores very high in my opinion.

COKIN P SERIES ND FILTERS- POOR VALUE
Having to purchase a Cokin £24.59 case for the filters that arrived without a case and in plastic sleeves and a small cleaning cloth. Previous set had a rigid plastic case with slots to separate the filter and this provided good protection when travelling and easy access.Cokin have cut costs for a cheaper inferior product (they appear thinner than the previous filters) and forcing consumers to purchase either their case or that of another supplier.

Disappointing
Disappointing. Cokin supplied 67mm adapters and holders with kit, but filters cause so much vignetting and filter holder appears in at 12mm on Canon 10-18mm wide angle lens, therefore one needs to look at 100mm Z Pro Series filters if budget tight. As for quality, they do the job on a tight budget but by design they will no doubt scratch quickly. Results on 18-55mm Canon reasonable, but prone to light leakage. These filter kit are now destined for Canon Eos-m use only. Now investing in Lee - should have paid more and only invested once.

Great filters.
I haven’t yet been able to use these filters in the field. I have had a chance to open them and take a look though. I purchased the full ND set and the Grad ND kit. The holder looks okay but is plastic so I am hoping to find another holder which is maybe metal and sturdier. Another thing with the holder is it does give some vignette when using a super wide lens, such as a 10mm. This just means that I have to shoot at 12mm instead of wide open. The holder also doesn’t lock in place so therefore slides about. As for the filters; they look good quality but is a shame they don’t come with a pouch or anything more protective than just a plastic sleeve with a cloth. The outside package looks awesome though. I see no colour cast at the moment but I will update the review as soon as I get a chance to get out with them.
