Nespresso VertuoPlus Coffee and Espresso Maker by De'Longhi with Aeroccino, Red

I spent a lot of time researching espresso machines (toooo expensive and physically complicated for me ATM) before landing on the Nespresso brand. Then I narrowed in on this model for its ease of use, one touch open and shut, one touch on, and self disposal of pods with a water tank that isn't too big (heavy). The *only* thing that's remotely annoying about the machine is the occasional dripping after the brew, but I think that's just the way these pod machines are.Now as to "buy used!" This is my MO on most things because it reduces waste and it saves money. But finding a trustworthy seller, especially for tech-- especially tech that could scald you-- is important.I ordered the machine + milk frother bundle from seller "Coffee Appliances" for but had a last minute change of heart and they quickly cancelled without any issue. They had great reviews, including some that gave less than five stars (why?! If you don't have complaints always give five stars! 🤦) And with my experience in cancelling I knew they were responsive.So when the red machine bundle came up for $109, I ordered "used- very good." It arrived early and it was perfect! Other than the original packaging being open, I received a perfect machine + frother. If I decide to buy more coffee paraphernalia for myself or a friend, I will order from Coffee Appliances.(And I'm not affiliated with Coffee Appliances in anyway other than as a very happy customer.)

It took me months of research to make the selection for my new single serve coffee makes. Keurig or Nespresso, or something else??? First, I am a Starbucks addict. Have been for 20+ years. When Starbucks came out with their Verisimo years ago, I bought one and have used it daily since. Unfortunately, now that Starbucks has discontinued the Verisimo, the pods for the machine are getting harder to come by. I was buying them on Amazaon, but when I went to order the last time, the order than previously cost me $72, was going to cost $140. After reading tons of reviews, articles, etc...I finally took the plunge and selected the Nespresso. I'm still working my way through all the coffee flavor options....and no I don't mean "flavors" although they have some of those. The blends of their coffee are very different and range from light and fruity to bold and almost spicy. My favorite thing about this maching are the options on serving sizes. You can select an Alto pod (which makes 14 oz cup of coffee), a coffee pod (which makes an 8 oz) or smaller. Keurig claims the same options but what you get (from my past experience) if you choose the larger size, the coffee pod is the same and you end up with watered down coffee...or using two pods. With Nespresso, choose your coffee, put the pod in, push a button...one button, no selection of size needed. It reads a bar code on the pod and automatically dispenses the exact amount of water. Just make sure your cup size will hold the amount your making!! So far, it's an awesome machine and makes amazing coffee...haven't had Starbucks in over 2 months.

Upon opening my box and using it the machine was not reading the pods. It also would not turn off without u plugging it. Rather than make a return via Amazon I called Nespresso directly. The girl that tried to help me had me run a series of troubleshooting actions. Then she told me it was defective and offered to send me a replacement direct from Nespresso. This is actually my second machine my previous machine was an older machine and sadly stopped working so I waited for a good price on Amazon to get a newer model. I’m very happy with my machine and love the customer service provided by Nespresso.

Awesome product; Gourmet coffee in less than 2 min in 3 simple touch; select the pod and press to insert the pod and then press the start button.Amazing taste the Milk frothier is a bonus - if you don't want black version. everyone loves this sexy looking machine ;)If there is any con it would be the price of the Pods $1.10 min and for reorder you have to spend 50+ to get free shipping. But considering the quality & variety it saves a lot compare to Starbucks and ready in minutes at your home.The NEspresso website has lots of great recipes for kids as well with Holiday mood.The Amazon price was the best compare to any stores/online. I wish there are some exotic tea pods as well :)

Love this coffee machine! Firstly, it is the exact right color for my kitchen. But more importantly, it makes great coffee and is so easy to use. It is quiet and makes perfect coffee cup after cup. There is a huge variety of coffee flavors for this machine, although I order directly from Nespresso as I find they have the widest choice and I like that they include a recycle bag for shipping back the empty pods. All in all, a great purchase - very pleased with it and hope it will last us a long time!
