EZ-FLO 20289 Evaporative Cooler Float Valve Assembly

This float is well made. All of the metal parts are brass. This plastic float is effective at shutting off the water completely when the cooler is full. No more leaks!

Nice quality brass material for the price. The only negative with this style of valve is it sprays water through the cotter pin that secures the float arm. This overspray can cause the metal interior of the cooler to rust over time. A small 2-3" length of 3/4" PVC pipe with a 1/2" wide section removed along its length will slip over the valve body preventing this. Also, even though the float arm has an adjustment screw, you'll likely still need to bend it to allow enough float drop.

The float valve works well and has performed great all season. Just remember to put the adjustment screw on the side that you can get to it. I didn't and had to take it out before I could adjust it.

Great replacement no drip like the plastic ones

I needed to do some much overdue pond repairs, and added this to the mix. It’s the perfect float to add to the circulation system to keep my pond in top shape. Works like a charm.
