We have high calcium water. That means we are always battling with white residue in containers that heat up water. I was really hoping that this product would work better than white vinegar like the product description said. It doesn’t. After using 2 doses of the product, my Keurig still has the “descale” warning. My Keurig is not old or in bad shape. I got it over the summer and always have a filter in the water basin. I Do like that the bottles have marks on them to show how much product to use-that’s very handy.

The coffee maker is about three years old and has never been through the descaling process. It has been running slow. I emptied all water from reservoir and poured the one third bottle of UMEX DESCALER in and then filled to maximum with fresh water. I heated and cycled the fluid through the machine plus an additional three full reservoirs of fresh water. We have a keurig machine that very stubbornly didn’t let the descale light go out even after going through the descale process twice with the keurig solution. No matter what I did, that stubborn light wouldn’t go out and we couldn’t use the coffee machine. Then I came across this solution and was interested since it said commercial strength. My thinking was if commercial strength couldn’t complete the descaling process then we’d have to get a new machine. I followed the directions on the bottle of solution and to my surprise and happiness…….it worked! Even more amazing is it only took a third of the bottle to clean it. Each bottle gives you 3 uses. Talk about getting your moneys worth. This truly made my day seeing that stubborn little light go out and mom getting her cup of coffee. There was no lingering after taste from the cleaning process either. We thoroughly rinsed everything just like the instructions explained.If you have a stubborn coffee machine like us definitely give this solution a try.

I like that this comes in small bottles and that it doesn’t stink like vinegar. I don’t know if it’s as strong as vinegar because I had to run it through a couple times to get the descale light to turn off.
