Got the new wheel/tire combo on my old T-maxx. That's why you want these I assume.
I ordered this for an old black chassis T-Maxx and they work perfectly. It wasn't clear at first what to do with it all as it is an entirely different way to fit on the truck, but it was obvious once I saw what I was suppose to do. There are no instructions that come with it to instruct the retrofit so allow me to quickly explain. It's not an adapter, it's a replacement/retrofit. The old wheelnut, plastic hex, and key rod are annexed; Straight to your spare parts bin. You take all that stuff off, then put on the threaded part, put in the locking screw stud instead of the key rods on all four hubs, then put on the new 17mm hex wheels, then the nuts replace the old itty bitty nyloks that were on the OG T-maxx. This may differ from other Traxxas products, but this is for the old .15/2.5 T-maxx. I don't think you need this with the newer T-maxx though as I think they're all 17mm already. If you are still a nitro fan and want a T-Maxx/T-Sport to have the newer wheels and tires, these will get you there. Fair price too considering the price of those tires!

6856X for Slash, Rustler, Stampede or Bandit
6856x for Traxxas Slash, Stampede, Rustler or Bandit. The set screws are too large to fit the holes on the axles on this set. Thank me later and pass this info on to help others out.

Good but could use improvement
Packaged very nicely as usual from Traxxas and good product but i had to make a few improvements. The material is aluminum so it will strip the finish when you tighten it which is not a big deal. However when these go over the standard 14mm axles the threaded portion of the cvd will cause slight wobble so to fix this I used some Brass Press-Fit Expansion Insert for Plastics w/o Flange, M5 X 0.8 Internal Thread, 3/8" Length from Mcmaster carr and had to do some grinding and sanding for fit as well as drilling out the 17mm traxxas fittings to fit them. Took a bit of work so if i had to do it all over again I would look for something else but you can also use teflon tape or even better which i was going to do but decided to do more work is use heat shrink.

Awesome addition to your machine.
I had these for about a month now. I purchased them to put after market wheels on my E-Maxx. They work great. I think a socket is probly the best way to tighten them up. I was short on options and used needle nose pliers. It got the job done however it cost me some of the paint off the hubs. It doesn't effect performance at all. Very light very strong.

Worked great on Rustler VXL w/TSM fine
Used these on my Rustler VXL TSM version with a RTX-27 tire from a Duratrax wheel. They are VERY deep wheels and I did have to put the shocks on the highest setting to avoid rubbing on the tire, but it worked. Made the car VERY unstable due to the deep shape of things but alas they worked as they were supposed to. Tried these on a 4x4 Stampede VXL w/TSM just to see how it worked and sure enough the front ones didn't provide enough clearance when turning so I didn't even try to adjust things for these. That's not a fault of the hubs (which did work) - it was the fault of the tires. Would guess these would work fine with other 1/8 tires that aren't as deep - will have to purchase some and re-review at some point
