RECAPS Refillable Reusable Coffee Pods Compatible with Dolce Gusto Brewers 3 Pack (Yellow Green White)

I am very happy to have found these! My husband and I have an Esperta2 machine. I've been happy with the prefilled pods that are available, but my husband prefers his whole bean coffee. This allows him the convenience of using the Esperta with his own coffee. These work well in our machine. You do have to make sure you line up the little hole correctly when you insert it into the machine. The directions explain how fine or coarse the coffee needs to be for using it. It comes with a spoon and brush. We used to have a Tassimo machine and there were not any reusuable pods that worked with it, so I am pleased that we found these. I'm excited to be able to use some nice flavored coffee beans. I love that these cut down on trash, too! **Update 5/21/2017 - I am still using these and still like them. However, I did want to add something to my review. They don't come out of the pod holder very easily. I usually have to turn the holder upside down and tap it slightly to get it to come out. When doing that, that sometimes dislodges the little filter screen. I didn't realize that it had come out one time and I threw it in the trash with the coffee grounds. Now that I know that can happen, I make sure that it's still there. And if it has come dislodged, I make sure to find it before I throw out the grounds. It's easy to put back in - it just snaps in place. I didn't realize it was even missing until I made coffee the next time with that pod and my coffee was full of grounds! Just wanted to share that.

I am reviewing only the mechanical/constructional aspect of this product. Don't let the fragile, plasticky look lead yourself to believe that these capsules will not last daily usage. I have been using a set of three on every weekend for a year or so. Followed by twice everyday of the week through the last three months of WorkFromHome. Little short of miracle how that flimsy hinge or that almost invisible silicone gasket survived so many pulls, tugs and dishwasher cycles! Eventually one of the capsule's hinge broke today, lasting way past my expectations. Ordered a new set today as I speculate a prolonged daily usage due to continued WFH. Sigh! Note: Did I occasionally forget which way the hole goes and puncture the lid by forcibly pressing the plunger ? You bet I did! Nevertheless, the punctured capsules continued to work just the same ...

I've run a couple of dozen cups through these. The first thing is you have to note where the hole is punctured in your capsules and align the hole in these so you don't damage your brewer. Common sense but NOT mentioned anywhere - no instructions. The little plastic grate that prevents coffee from getting into the needle is a royal pain to clean. I have to use a toothpick to clean it. It works and saves a ton of $$$.

Really poor product. It’s hard to determine where to place it so the needle comes down in the correct position. And they’re definitely not reusable. The latch does not work after the first use. If they weren’t a $10 product I would be returning them. I can’t imagine why someone would grade them higher than 1 star

What can I say... I was given a dolce gusto machine ( probably because the pods are so dammed expensive). I was looking for pods on Amazon.. the cheapest place I've found to buy them. I found the refillable pods! What the heck, I'll try them, only to find out that I love them and love the machine. I can put coffee or tea in them and it comes out with great flavor. They are a bit hard to clean but it's not in the pod itself, it's the lid. Little coffee or tea particles get up in the point in the lid. The cleaning brush it comes with will get the grounds out if you have time and patience. My kiddos love the pods for hot chocolate but Mom to Mom... Do not get the marshmallow kind. What a mess to clean up. I just but regular and then buy marshmallows separately. I do plan on buying another set as everyone in the house uses these and it'll cut down on morning routine time as we're a family of 6. Wish it came in a 6 pack!!

These are working out just great. First off, I did not expect too much out of these, just wanted to give them a try. Boy was I surprised to find out these work great. I first tried this with a medium ground coffee. This did not turn out great. Next I tried this with an expresso and made a cappuccino. It was delicious. I will continue to by the Dolce Gusto capsules but with these I won't have to by as many which will save me some money.

These do work BUT the seal blows out if you tamp the espresso ground coffee at all and makes a mess blowing water all over the place and not to mention hot water at that. These are only good if you use a corse ground coffee and don't pack it at all so you can use it to make a better then drip brewed coffee with these but you can not make a real good espresso as you can't pack the coffee at all and can't use a fine ground coffee period or you will pop the cap up and bingo hot water all over and grounds. If you use corse ground coffee that's not packed at all then it makes a decent cup of coffee but you will not get hardly any creme and not a very strong shot even if you just pull a 1 Oz shot off a pod, a 1 Oz shot will be about as strong as a 4 Oz shot if you used a Dolce gusto espresso intenso pod, that pod is made for a 1.75 to 2 Oz shot so if you pulled a 4oz shot through that pod it would be about as strong as if you used these and a strong course ground coffee and did just a 1oz shot. It makes coffee and that's about it, it will not make a espresso shot that is even decent, if you want to load up all 3 and brew then at 2oz each to make a 6oz cup of better then drip coffee these will work for that

Ich bin nun stolze Besitzerin einer chicen Dolce Gusto Drop mit der Kaffee trinken wieder genießen heißt, da der Kaffee mit den originalen Kapseln richtig lecker ist. Die Freude wird jedoch getrübt, wenn man, abgesehen vom produzierten Müll, der mich jetzt weniger stört, jedoch der sehr hohe Preis der originalen Kapseln nicht wäre. Alternative Kapseln habe ich schon probiert, aber nicht nur, das diese absolut nicht bis grauenhaft schmecken, sondern ca. jede 3te/4te nicht-originale Kapsel nicht funktioniert, d.h. das Wasser irgendwo raus läuft, aber nicht durch die Kapsel, sondern nebenher, was also auch nicht wirklich eine Ersparnis bedeutet. Daher habe ich mir die nachfüllbaren Kapseln gekauft und nun mehrfach mit gutem, richtig kräftigem, fertig gemahlenen black and white-Tchibo-Kaffee ausprobiert und mein Mann und ich sind total begeistert...auch mit aufgeschäumter Milch als Latte Macchiato echt super. Die Kapseln funktionieren herorragend, nichts ist bisher nebenher raus gelaufen und auch sonst keine Probleme. Ich habe mir auch eine Tampermatte und den Recaps-Tamper gekauft, die unverzichtbar sind um ein perfektes Ergebnis zu erzielen. Ich hatte nun schon einige gemacht und alle Kaffee's waren super!....auch Besucher waren schwer begeistert. Was ich allerdings extra gemacht habe, andere Rezensenten allerdings immer wieder bemängeln, das es zu leicht abbricht, die Verbindungslasche des Deckels mit dem Unterteil abzuschneiden, da es mich unglaublich genervt hat, das man den Deckel ständig mit einem Finger weg halten muss beim einfüllen des Kaffeepulvers und auch beim sauber machen muss man den Deckel und Unterteil ständig auseinander drücken. Also hab ich kurzerhand die Laschen abgeschnitten und nur einen kleinen "Rest" stehen lassen. Den Deckel nun nicht mehr ständig im Weg zu haben und komplett ab zu nehmen und zur Seite legen zu können, ist spitze und auch das "drauf setzen" auf das Unterteil geht besser und einfacher als mit der nervigen Verbindungslasche dran. Das ist soviel genialer und praktikabler als miteinander verbunden, denn es stört nun nichts mehr beim Pulver einfüllen und das sauber machen geht auch viel einfacher und schneller. Zudem schließt der Deckel jetzt auch besser und absolut plan, da die Lasche dies vorher immer minimal verhindert hat. Dies hab ich bei allen 6 Recaps-Kapseln gemacht und werde es auch auch bei den zukünftigen Recaps-Kapseln abschneiden. Ich verwende pro Kapselfüllung zwei des Kaffeelots, die den Kapseln beiliegen und drücke den Kaffee dann mit dem Recaps- Tamper fest und erhalte so eine große Tasse superleckeren Kaffee. Eine große Tasse heißt eine Einstellung von 7 Balken, sprich der XL-Einstellung bei der Dolce Gusto Maschine. Die Kapseln gehen leicht in den Kapselhalter der Maschine rein, aber etwas schwerer wieder raus...ich benötige dafür ein stumpfes Messer um die Refill-Kapsel wieder vorsichtig aus dem Kapselhalter zu entnehmen. Man muss lediglich aufpassen die Refill-Kapseln richtig in die Maschine zu setzen und gut zu verschließen vor dem einsetzen, ansonsten ist es ein Kinderspiel und schnell erledigt. Ich kann sie wirklich absolut weiter empfehlen, denn sie sind eine super Alternative und Ergänzung zu den teuren Original-Kapseln, denn sie funktionieren einfach spitze und der Kaffee schmeckt super!!!
