Great exfoliator
This product is very thick when it comes out but can easily be applied to your face and smells really good. It definitely feels exactly like a microdermabrasion treatment with the tiny beads inside that are scrubbing dead skin cells. It makes my face feel polished and really smooth after I use it. I highly recommend it.

Good
I like the after effects; skin is smooth and a little bit more bright. The only negative is the product is very pasty. You have to use a lot of water to soften it up to put it on your skin.

Excellent Exfoliation
This is the best product I have found for exfoliating right now. I previously used products that were discontinued (of course) and I finally found Murad.

Not for Everyday Use - But WOW
Murad Environmental Shield Vita-C Triple Exfoliating Facial – Exfoliating Facial Scrub I was really surprised at how gentle this scrub exfoliated my skin. I have super dry and sensitive skin so I usually stay away from scrubs that use abrasives. I was really surprised that this worked and didn't shred my face. I think that helped the included vitamin C to work better. My skin was brighter and my pores weren't as noticeable. I really like that this took care of any flakes or rough spots. I applied about the size of a nickel and rubbed it in circular motions around my face avoiding my eye area. This stuff sticks and I found that I needed a few rinses to remove all of the product. I left it on for about 5 minutes and the really cool thing about this product is that it turns from orange to white when it is done exfoliating your skin. I followed that up with my normal mositurizer. I really love this stuff. silica for microdermabrasion, AHA & BHAs, enzymes for soft, bright, clean complexion
I see this as a treatment, not for every day use. The description says to use 1-3x a week, and I concur. No need for more than that. The skin doesn't need daily exfoliation, but it does benefit from being exfoliated a couple times per week. Helps to clean out pores, to slough off dead skin cells, which not only brightens up the complexion but also allows other products to work better- so basically you get more bang for your buck. This Murad product uses a combo of ingredients for exfoliation. This formula uses SILICA for its physical component, which is much more gentle than husks or seeds. Silica is smooth rather than jagged, so less likely to be irritating. The chemical component uses a mixture of acids: glyclolic, lactic acid, malic acid, and salicylic acid. The enzymatic components include: betaine and various flower/fruit extracts. I dont think I missed any. Has a little bit of everything going on in terms of exfoliation. I dont usually go for physical exfoliation as my means to really exfoliate to get rid of dead skin cells. For that I prefer a chemical exfoliation. I also think physical can be a bit harsh for sensitive skin, or is more likely to be irritating if using to firm of a touch. But this feels fine, and their use of silica is appreciated. I think it is fine so long as one uses a gentle touch to massage this in. Skin definitely feels soft and smooth upon first use and beyond. My 40 something dry skin doesn't feel parched, tortured- just clean, soft, fresh, brightened.. I would buy this again.
