Q: What are the differences between fujinon 14x40 tsx1440 and fujinon 14x40 ts1440?

Requires a long answer. Might want to call me, but here's the short of it in my order of importance. TSX has; 20% more image stabilization range (6 degrees instead of 5 degrees), much faster image acquisition (TS has quite a delay) power and activation indicator lights, they float without the neck strap, rechargeable battery compatible, modern looks. The TS does come with a hard case from the factory though. The TSX comes with a soft case.

Q: The image of the tsx1440 shows 4 degrees stabilization but the spec’s say 6 degrees. which is correct?

The 4 degrees that is written on the body of the binoculars is the "actual field of view" (the FOV @ 1,000 meters distance is 70 meters, or 230 ft @ 1,094 yards) . The image stabilzation is +/- 6.0 degrees. So both figues are correct, they are simply for different specification parameters.

Q: what type of case does it come with?

The case is semi rigid and fits the binoculars closely. It's covered in a man made material resembling closely woven cloth and probably waterproof. These are great binoculars and have way better optics than the Canon 18 x 50 (which I have tried).

Q: Can I mount it on a tripod?

The TSX1440's do not have a 1/4" mount hole. The only way to mount them would be to use a universal binoculars mount plate.
