I loved this show . can't find #3 series though

At first, when I received the DVD. I was excited to watch Season 2 Mako Mermaids. But they are not working for my dvd player. I was so disappointed in that DVDs, it showed incorrect Disc and all 4 dvds same thing showed Incorrect Disc. . Guess I can not send DVD back and waste my money. That is real sad!

Yay! More Mako Mermaids!I was a bit sceptical about this season, because I really enjoyed the first one and didn't see the need for the cast shake up, given they were just getting to grips with their characters. I actually really liked the 2 new mermaids though, the actresses seemed really tapped in to the personality's from the start, and it was a clever way to get another drama-filled season out of Zac and the trident. Possibly the weakest points for me were to do with the previous season's mermaids - there's no real closure or explanation for Lyla and Nixie's absence; in terms of character relationships I found Nixie's absence the oddest because season 1 built up her and Sirena as having a really close friendship...but Sirena doesn't mention or miss her friend? And the other weak point was Sirena in this season unfortunately.Initially she was a nice link between the new mermaids and Zac, and the parts where she kind of mediates or explains how land-people work were good. It's a shame because I like the actress, and there's a lot of potential for the character, but I felt she was let down a bit by the storylines and side-lined too much to really have much of a presence. It meant the parts she could have shone didn't have quite that much impact - her supposed-romance with David is a particular disappointment, despite having an episode with it as the sole focus, and the conundrum of what to do when the pod returns. However there are 3 far more engaging and believable relationships to invest in - I'm not going to spoil it more than that!I really loved how this season dealt with Cam and Zac's friendship, and was happy how maturer both boys seemed to be. And I even really liked Evie too! I think there was only about 2 episodes in season 1 where I didn't find her character annoying, but she's now one of my favourite characters.Can't wait for the next season, and I hope there's even more after that one! It's a shame because I've heard that Amy Ruffle isn't in next season, but given how well this one turned out I'm more confident that the writers will do justice with the new characters they're going to introduce.

Excellent series I have just finished watching season 2 even though I skipped a season as I had season one volume one and have yet to see the other half of season one I thoroughly enjoyed this season I loved the new mermaids ondina and Mimi Mimi being my favourite and Evie my favourite episodes were wen ondina and Mimi took this lotion and became kids bickering over who was the better princess it had me in stitches laughing them acting like kids also wem Serena became a siren hearing that song was eerie and would of had me under her spell lol and also wen Evie was shrunken on her birthday and ended up in a fish bowl I felt that this series as a whole was much better than h20 just add water not that I didn't like it I felt mako mermaids focused more on the mermaid side where h20 focused on the human side more which was OK but I think mako mermaids is a lot better the merman chamber the girls trying to stop Eric from starting up the chamber and taking all the mermaids powers he reminded me of Albert Wesker from resident evil he had the hair look and attitude and put the shades on him and he would look like Wesker lol zac is still cool in season one he was after the trident and this season follows on from that after it was destroyed but now you have the merman chamber which is bad u get the odd episodes which don't focus on the current story but its good to have down time and bit of romance I will be getting season one and season 3 both half's as I love this series

my little girl she is 6 yrs old and loves mermaids- she enjoys this series- I advice this for children and teens- it is nice also because it doesn't contain sex or swearing abusive words and the plot itself is quite enjoyable and sweet

I was a little off at first as my season 1 favourite characters Nixi and Layla are gone, but grew to like the new characters.
