If I could only own one book....this would be it!
Recently, I found that I was stuck in a few areas of my life. Then one day, my friend told me about Joanna Kleinman - that she has a bestselling book called Dethroning Your Inner Critic, which might speak to the issues I was dealing with.I decided to check out Joanna’s work. First, I listened to a few of her podcasts and really liked what she had to say...she was talking about me without talking about me! I was struck by her openness and authenticity. On one episode, she spoke about catching herself getting frustrated with simple everyday situations, and being able to use her own methodology to get her emotional balance back. That one hit me right between the eyes!I knew I had to get Joanna’s book asap - no, I needed to get the book yesterday! I knew I had to learn this 4 Step M.I.N.D. Method as fast as I could.I’ve completed reading the book once through, and now I’m listening to it on Audible. I’m practicing her methodology every day. I can’t say it’s easy, but it’s so worthwhile already. One month in, I can see myself having less negative reactions to the things that often get me tied up in knots.One example: I recently organized a small birthday gathering for my brother-in-law, a first social event of its type for our family since the start of the pandemic. I really cared about making it an extraordinary and memorable event, with all the right touches. I picked up take-out from a favorite restaurant, only to discover when I got to the gathering that half the food had been left out of the order. Normally, I’d be so concerned about having screwed up the plan, having the birthday be less than ideal, and on and on - a festival of self-critique!Instead, I found myself thinking through Joanna’s 4 steps almost effortlessly. I just went back to the restaurant and got the missing food - without beating myself up or turning it into a private drama. I was calm and peaceful, and even had a sense of humor when I returned to the gathering. The birthday was great - extraordinary and memorable! While this may seem like a small matter, for me it made all the difference in my experience of the quality of life.I’m seeing examples like this popping up every day. I’m truly impressed by the positive impact I’ve seen so far.If I was only able to own one book, this book would be the one of choice. It’s a profound tool that’s transformative.

The MIND method shows you how YOU can change your life!
This book is the true guide we've all been waiting for. I've had the amazing opportunity to personally work with Joanna. I first found her after a Google search for couples' therapy and arrived in her office with my (now ex) husband feeling defeated, frustrated, confused and truly unhappy. We pursued counseling together, but Joanna suggested I join her MIND workshop with a group of women. I was hesitant at first, but the course was eye-opening. Once I was able to identify my inner critic and her never-ending message, I realized she was making all the decisions for me and this is why I felt so stuck.I've continued to work with Joanna for the past few years and have felt my own transformation. My life has completely changed from the day I first walked into her office. I've learned not only to trust my own intuition, but to catch my own thoughts before they spiral out of control. I've also learned that it is a continuous journey - there is no arrival point where I'll magically be living in utter bliss, but that you have to make a conscious effort to control your own thoughts and master your own mind. I'm able to stop myself before I rattle off a list of what I "should" be doing and find myself identifying the true core issue.This book is now the notebook full of tools and reminders that I've always wished to have handy. I highly recommend reading this, practicing the MIND method daily and noticing how your thoughts tend to rule in your inner critic's favor. It's time to take back your throne!

Life Changing
The guide that Joanna puts forth in this book has truly helped me rewrite and redesign my life in a way that has shown me inner peace and true self love. I went from relationships, to food, to shopping, to any other outside source for happiness and to avoid recognizing that I really had no love or respect for who I really am. I was always anxious, and always stressed to the point of exhaustion and physical pain.Dethroning Your Inner Critic has shown me that "the voice in my head" is an automatic thought process that I go to like autopilot any time I am in a situation that makes me uncomfortable. I have learned to recognize the voice and automatic thoughts and realize that they are the source of my anxiety- not the opinions or thoughts of others.Do I still stress? Of course! But this book has given me the tools to learn that my inner critic will always be with me and when I "take her off of her throne" I really am giving myself the freedom to live authentically and with a grateful heart.I can't thank Joanna enough for the message she has conveyed here- it has shown me a true path to peace and love for myself that I did not know was possible. You won't regret this book!

Learn to manage your MIND and change your life!!!
I have been working with JoAnna for almost three years on and off and I am SO happy she has put her MIND Method on paper so I always have something to go back to on days I may struggle with the practice. I can't express enough how much her work has helped me change my way of thinking which has allowed me to change my life. Since learning her method, I am able to live a more honest and fulfilling life. Is it easy, not always but I can tell you it is worth it. With her MIND method discussed in the book, she provides you with a useful technique to help quiet the inner critic we all have. I can attest that once you have an understanding of each step and how they relate to you, you have the ability to see everyday things in a completely different light. As someone who always saw the negative and lived in fear and anxiety, I now live more in the moment, see everything as possibility and most importantly believe that I AM ENOUGH. I am the best me possible regardless of what anyone else may think. As I said earlier while not always easy - practicing the MIND method is worth the outcome.

Profoundly change your life!!
Having worked with Joanna for over a year, I was excited to read her book Dethroning Your Inner Critic. To be able to have in print the methodology for dethroning the IC is really significant. The book did not disappoint and it was really amazing to read (and to be able to re-read) all of the skills that she had been teaching me. Learning about and how to live with my IC has had a profound positive impact on my life and I am just so happy to now have so much of Joanna’s wisdom in this book. It really is a road map to a much better life. If you are looking for something different that will profoundly change your life read this book!!

Awesome book every one should read
I was having same problem . I have all ur tips in your book . Before completion of the book I learnt almost method .Thank u so for wonderful book
