This scalp shampoo was recommended on a black beauty blog to help cleanse the scalp for girls who have their hair in braids or crochet. I'm currently wearing passion twist crochet and would shampoo my hair once every 7 to 10 days. I use this shampoo with a scalp massager and these two products are a must when your hair is braided. Then I condition my scalp and then afterwards I would apply argan oil to my scalp. My scalp is dry and would have flakes/dandruff and on top of that product-build up so I needed a shampoo that would gently exfoliate my scalp, removing the dead skin, and styling products without stripping the natural oils from the scalp or hair folicles. It's pricey but I understand that the higher price point is from the high quality, plant-derived ingredients.

I rarely write a negative review, but this product deserves one. $14 isn't a fortune, but is a significant cost for SMALL bottle of shampoo. I used it for over a month before reviewing. Bottom line: it is worthless. Doesn't even do a good job of cleansing. Certainly did nothing for my itchy scalp, which is specifically why I purchased it. Very difficult to read description and directions on bottle. Take a pass on this product.

I love the regular and moisturizing shampoos, but this one was not good. It dried out my hair and scalp and made the situation worse. I was disappointed because I have consistently had good experience with their shampoo and conditioners.

I hoping to love this but I didn’t. It’s a very nice shampoo, smells nice, cleans nicely. However, it made the top of my hair flat looking and that’s not a good look. Expected more and was sadly disappointed. Not for me.
