Perfect for cold
My dogs love these! Based on the temperature and the temperature change forecast, I set these for low, medium or high for a period of 8, 12 or 24 hours. I get them smaller than the doghouse so the dog can sleep on it or next to it.

Strong and excellent for 100 lb Chesador
The media could not be loaded. 43”x28” is just the right size for my long legged 100 lb Chesador. We were attacked the other night by our neighbors’ pit bull. We are healing as best we can from the attack. I had *just* put in a waterbed for myself after decades of sub Par sleep. My sleep improved instantly and I thought of how awful a regular mattress would be in this situation. Naturally I sought out a waterbed for my sweet dog and found this. I filled it using an iced tea pitcher, catching any drops I missed with a towel. It filled quickly. I used 4 one gallon pitchers full. I burped it just like my waterbed, pulling up the filling hole and running my arm along to move the air out of the hole. It worked really fast and easy. I put a few capfuls of waterbed conditioner inside to reduce air, etc keep it clean. My dog has a cone on and doesn’t know what it is, so I took a chance and pushed him over onto it. He landed hard on it, but nothing happened! I expected it to leak at the filling hole but nope! 100 lb dog was just weighed for surgery the other day! It’s going to be 90 degrees here in a few days and my poor boy has to be sore from all of the bites. I’m so grateful to Amazon Prime getting it here so quickly on a holiday and to Pawple for making this wonderful waterbed for pets. My dog just turned 9 years old, but he was running every single day and on keto food so pain hasn’t been in his life much prior. All of this said, he still just now got up and laid on the cool floor 😆 It may be awhile before he’s used to it. He definitely knows it’s for him and that it’s “just like mommy’s bed”.

Sturdy & cool
Tips: because it gets so heavy with a lot of water buy collapsible funnels and then you can refill easily. I was dumping daily in bathtub and refilling with spills everywhere and trying to carry a super heavy Large mat. Through trial and error I realized:1. Doesn’t need to be constantly refilled, it may not feel cool but if you lay on it for a minute you’ll realize it is even without refills,2. Dump in bathtub and take to the place you want then use funnel and fill with a water pitcher.3. Open the pressure valve and push out the extra air for your dog- one time there was so much air it was pushing my dog off sideways lol so I always get the air even before he gets on it.I bought for my Shepherd Chow mix after he was diagnosed with insulinoma tumor that causes glucose drops and panting- he was very uncomfortable pre-surgery especially with hot weather it’s nice after he comes inside from bathroom break. He is usually picky and loves the cool wood floors but before and after surgery this is his favorite spot. I placed in front of the AC vent and can find him there comfortably sleeping. I showed it to him once and he immediately went to it. Being 12 years plus I think the bit of air also provides joint comfort for his hip dysplasia. No tears or issues so far we’ve had about 4 mos.I’m buying another for the car for my dog that has geriatric onset laryngeal paralysis and must be kept cool so that he can be comfortable on his way to and from physical therapy.

I'm SO thankful we got this!!
This is SUCH a good idea🙏😭 It's like a cross between a mini water bed and a giant hot water bottle, but with cold water of course! We're currently going through a MASSIVE heatwave where we live (I'm talking 90-100° F) and NONE of us are used to it due to our typically temperate climate. I've been so worried for my kitten so a friend of mine (a vet tech) suggested getting one of these and when I tell you she hopped right on there the MINUTE I set it down on the floor after filling it for the first time I really do mean within 1 minute!(1) it's easy to figure out how to use it(2) it can really hold a lot of water, mine is 1.5-2.5 gallons!(3) it has a little valve you can open and release all the trapped air inside without worrying about opening/spilling out the main filling hole!(4) the main filling hole is just big enough for me to be able to pop ice cubes in (I use a standard sized ice tray so I'm not sure how other kinds would work with it)!(5) it's typically lasted about 5-6 hours at a time so far before it stops being cool and had to be poured out & refilled (that's with about 2 gallons of cold water and an entire ice cube tray inside)(6) it really works! I was so nervous about spending my money on this, especially with how many other options are out there, but man am I glad I picked this one! I wish I had one that was human sized for myself haha

Dogs favorite but what you should expect
So far it is a great cooling mat. I bought a second one. Both are now in the garbage. Easy to rip. I was so excited because the dogs immediately loved them. The last one ripped after 2 months. I keep my dogs nails trimmed so they wont rip their beds but now both are gone. They last about 2-3 months then buy again.

started leaking in under 5mos
Bought two, one for each dog. One seems to be holding up, the other started leaking after only 4mos of basic use. My dogs aren’t rough on the pad and it’s not in a high traffic area… 50/50, so I guess it could be worse…

Good at cooling, bad at durability
Update, day two of having it and it’s definitely not chew proof. Our puppy chewed it up in about 10 mins. Really disappointed because it seemed like a great ideaCan’t tell you if it’s chew proof because it’s the first day we have had it. , Our puppy loved this mat. He gets hot sooo easily and takes a long time to cool off after playing outside. With the mat he was comfy and asleep in minutes. Not sure if you are suppose to but I threw some ice cubes in the mat after mostly filling it with water, they melted fast and cooled down the water in the mat.
