Iittala Kartio Set of Two Glass Tumblers, Water Green, 13-Ounce Capacity

I love these glasses. I'm hardly ever a fan of modern design and my home is mostly traditional with a little anthropologie decor. However, these fit right in and I imagine they would with most styles. They are smooth and feel wonderful in the hand, and liquids look beautiful in the glass. I mostly use this size for glasses of water and iced tea and they are perfect. I also have the smaller 7oz glasses and use those for juice in the morning, or small cocktails. The two sizes really look better together as a set. The water green is my favorite color and is more of an aqua blue... though I'm considering a few in turquoise. Beautiful addition to my kitchen. I've only had them for a few months but I use them almost daily and run them through my dishwasher and they are still in perfect condition with no chips.

Beautiful glasses

Really simple and stunning glassware. I saw these on display in a high end store and was really taken by the colors and clarity of the glass - and the simplicity of the design. Very beautiful and yet substantial - not thin glass. We'll be ordering more from this line.

Ittalla is my favorite brand. I love Kartio glasses, and have several of large and small ones in different color. I loved water green, and ordered two more. The color however has more blue hue than the ones I have, so they don't quite match. This was a little disappointing, although by itself the color is beautiful.

Kaj Franck (designer) is the best. We just love them (have around a dozen). Makes a nice wedding gift if you combine 4 or 6 with the matching pictcher.

I love the look and feel of these glasses but felt they were pricey at about $13 each. (Ordered first set this year.). When I went to order more, the price has since RISEN to about $30 for 2. Not cool. I ordered the first pair on trial, ordered a second pair and my son dropped and broke one within a week. The glasses are too pricey for me to want to continue adding more.

I purchased multiple sets of these glasses in multiple colors. We have been using them for about a year. The quality does not hold up over time and is very disappointing for this price. The normal method of storage of these glasses is to stack them. But the stacking causes chips and cracks to appear consistently. We have been throwing them away at the rate of 1-2 per month as they become unusable. Given the brand and the price, my expectation was that these would be durable and of high quality. They have failed to live up to expectations. Purchase these glasses only if you have enough room to store them in a single layer. If that is the case then you will probably enjoy them.
