Entire side of cage can be opened
Excellent cage! I was very happy I bought it. I have two guinea pigs in it. I bought the largest size, and it's suitable for two female guinea pigs (but not more than that). I love that the entire side of the cage can be opened. It makes it easy to clean out, and to catch the animals as well. The raised plastic platform that's sold with it is totally removeable, so you don't have to have it in the cage if you don't want to. Also, the top is strong enough to hold the weight of a cat easily. There's no way a cat could get into the cage. It's really well-built for the money.

Good as a rat cage!
Great! I have been using this cage for 8 months for my 2 pet rats. All of the rat cages people recommended were super expensive, but this cage is a great value. The base is deep enough for a good amount of bedding, and there is enough vertical space for them to climb and use their hammocks. The cage is sturdy, and they haven't tried chewing on it at all. Was also very easy to assemble.

Not for ferrets
Good price for this size cage but not good for ferrets she squeezed herself through the bars.

Suitable + Humane Cage for Single Rabbit
I don't usually write reviews, but I was very happy with this cage. Since we moved, our dwarf rabbit, Nugget, has been having to stay in a smaller cage than usual because the layout of our new apartment wouldn't fit her old crate. Nugget had been grumpy having to stay in the smaller crate in the meantime, even though she has 12 hours of outside of cage play time every day, so we wanted to quickly be able to set up a larger home for her that would fit in our apartment's bedroom. Since this cage was on sale (over 30% off), the price was right. Set up for this cage was easy, I did it by myself while watching tv in just a matter of minutes. The parts slide and snap together and you may need to put some weight into it, but nothing extreme. As soon as I set up the XL cage and put her litter box in it, she was immediately interested and started exploring it. She hung out there voluntarily for most of the evening last night, making herself at home. So, regardless of my thoughts, my rabbit did instantly see this as a superior new home to where she was previously staying, and decided that it was hers. I think that says enough.Since we do not use bedding (she is potty trained and has a cat bed but does not need fleece/shavings), she appreciates the grid texture on the bottom of the cage which keeps her from slipping around when walking. If you do use bedding or you have a small animal that likes to pee and poop all over the cage, you may find that it's hard to scrub the bottom completely clean due to that texture, though. We did set up the little platform with the food bowl, and I hope it will help keep her from flipping the bowl, which she loves to do. She climbed up there to eat right away last night. The fold up front entrance keeps her from being able to easily jump on top of the cage, an issue that we had in the past with old cages. This cage does not seem like it would stand up to that kind of abuse.Roughly 4' x 2' is the smallest permanent home that a rabbit should have, and although this is off by fractions of an inch in some dimensions, I would consider it suitable. If you have more than one rabbit, I would consider building the cage yourself or adding an exercise pen. Our rabbits get to spend every moment we're not at work running free in limited areas of the house, so they get a lot of exercise daily. Taking that into consideration, a cage of around the minimum size seemed very suitable. If your rabbit does not get to come out and play often, you probably want a bigger cage even than this, because you should give room to run and jump. This review is based on the cage being heavily discounted, with 10% sales tax in my state, it came out to around $80. At that price point, I firmly believe that this is the best you can do.

Good buy
The media could not be loaded. i bought this for my hedgehog, as the is too small for a rabbit, and she loves it! the only problems i have are assembly being a bit difficult (i recommend watching a video on how to build it) and the water bottle doesn't stay on the hook. DO NOT BUT FOR A RABBIT, GUNIEA PIG, OR CHINCHILLA.
