Exciting Mystery
Killer Comfort Food is another excellent adventure from Lynn Cahoon. There is always a collection of surprises and mysteries in her work. This book was no exception, there was a lot going on that kept me guessing and reading. Angie is great at investigating, but somehow clues just fall into her hands. Much to the chagrin of the Sheriff. Intriguing mysteries and a little romance, always a fun adventure. More to come in book 6.

The danger moves close to home.
Killer Comfort Food, book 5 in the Farm-to-Fork Mystery series has it all and I love it!!! Author Lynn Cahoon always brings warmth with her wonderful characters and excitement with her great mysteries. This addition carries a slower build but a greater edge than some of the others, but it isn't a slow read at all. There is so much involved in the story but it is not overloaded and some of complex issues come together in the end. As I always say, as much as I love Ms. Cahoon's mysteries, I would read the books just for the character interaction.I have to admit when I first saw the series title Farm-to-Fork, it didn't draw me but I love Ms. Cahoon's South Cover series and characters so much that I had to try this one. I have come to love the newer series even more and that is saying a lot! I appreciate that the characters don't make the stupid choices that drive me crazy in even some series that I otherwise enjoy. That is a big point in making these two series among my favorites. I hate cringing for characters instead of from the plot. Thank goodness that these guys act with intelligence, or their friends shut them down when they don't!Killer Comfort Food was all that I expect of a book from Lynn Cahoon and more. I was thrilled to be approved for an ARC from NetGalley even though I had already pre-ordered my personal copy!!! I feel confident requesting one of her books because I know that I will be sharing my enjoyment with friends and followers whether not I get an ARC and I love getting my hands on them early!#NetGalley #KillerComfortFood

Someone hanging around the farm has made Angie very nervous...
I always love catching up with Angie and her crew at the County Seat as well as her other various friends and loved ones. I was so glad to see that Bleak, the teen we met a couple of books ago was doing so well in her job at the restaurant, and Maggie was really shining in her role as foster mom. Angie and Ian were closer than ever, and Hope had finally graduated culinary school. When an unknown (at the time) body showed up, Angie couldn't help wondering if it had something to do with her friend Barb's birth daughter's disappearance recently. As always, Angie had lots on both her figurative and real plates, since a soybean processing plant was threatening her happiness at Nona's farm--and she promised Barb some help too. I love how the gang was referring to themselves as the Scooby Doo gang when they got together to solve mysteries.I started figuring out whodunit after a major clue, but the main thing was to see how the person got caught. It was actually kind of nice that the whole County Seat family was gathered when they got the news that someone confessed. Something very special happened at the family dinner too, and I couldn't be happier for them! Now I'm caught up and ready to read the novella that comes out July 6!

Great series!
Sad to hear this series is ending, I really love it!! A good handful of activity in this book. Crazy ex's, a developer trying to buy farm land, a missing wife.... Angie has a lot on her plate. I love all of the characters and it was fun to feel like I was visiting friends. As always a great addition to this series.

Another Cahoon winner
From the first Tourist Trap, to Cat Latimore, and the Farm to Fork series, Lynn Canyon has always entertained me with her wit, characters, and storyline. So, I had very high expectations for this latest in the Farm to Fork series. And I was not disappointed. It is a celebration of the values of friendship and family. It is giggle out loud fun. A wonderfully well crafted mystery, it had twists and turns, and red herrings to confound. But as we near the one year point of Covid cautiousness, it was a fantastic escape from the house. I curled up on the sofa, with a cup of delightful locally roasted coffee, and enjoyed all the book had to offer. No masks, no social distancing, no hand sanitizer, just a retreat into Angie's adventure. When it is safe to travel again, this will be a great beach vacation read. But for me, for now, it was a such an entertaining diversion, I heartily recommend the book to others who are in the same situation.

Dom the dog
I think it's funny in the book the way the dog Dom reacts to precious the goat. I can picture in my head.

Another delicious romp with the Country Seat crew
I really enjoy this series. Love all the food talk, friendships and animals. In this episode Angie really had her hands full as a soybean plant is pressing into try and force her to sell her Nona's farm, her friend and neighbor asks her to find her missing daughter and one of her chef's is being stalked by her ex. Needless to say we get plenty of action while we get to spend time with some of our favorite characters, human and pet! Definitely worth your time!

Good hearts
The main characters were good people trying to help each other. I enjoyed the dog Dom. Overall, I’d give a 4 1/2. A bit is taken away because the mystery part is not very strong nor is the explanation why very strong.
