I am amending my review... I bought the original and it didn't work great... cust svc kept chasing me down and offered to ship a new one... the new one was awesome. I have used it for a month and it has been outstanding. I was at an ATP tennis tourney and used my phone all day with texting, pics,watching the NCAA tourney, etc.. it lasted well into the night. Interestingly enough, the battery worked better after a few weeks of use and charges. Also the first one that seemed defective has shown signs of improvement too. I would buy their products again because of the improved performance as well as the customer service.Here was my original review back in January: I have a 1 yr old Galaxy 3... original battery. The performance was becoming degraded and I was getting sick of it only lasting 2/3 of the day. I received this new battery with high expectations. Needless to say, I should have spent half the money because this battery isn't lasting quite as well as my 1 year old battery. Enough said....

UPDATEI wrote this review and the company was great and wanted me to try a new battery for free and shipped it to me for free. I tried the new battery and it does last longer than the other one I had. But It still isn't like the original battery that my phone came with. This battery does last a good 12 hours with a lot of usage, whether it be texting, or listening with music or on the web. But It doesn't really last longer than that. There are some days that I am not constantly on my phone and the battery will go for the whole day plus some. But if you are on your phone constantly, it'll last a good 12 hours.I am happy with it and will keep this battery. I don't think its amazing but it's a pretty good battery.***************My last battery life was about 6 hours. I feel like this isn't much better. my old battery, that came with the phone, could last me a whole day and that with me texting, using the web, music, and so one. This battery will last a whole day if I barely use it. The moment I start doing these things, the battery dies quite quickly.

Item Received on time. Thank you for sending this 2 x 3 x 1/4 inch product in a shoe box about 1000 times the size of the product. I also appreciate having the box to use I like having them around to store things in or for gift wrapping.My Samsung Galaxy S3 charging port no longer works, a well known and common problem for this phone. However the phone still functions quite well after 2 years of use and I see no need to replace it quite yet. My solution to not being able to charge the phone is to have multiple batteries . The RavPower is a fairly good alternative to the OEM battery. It doesn't last quite as long as the OEM used to or does now but its hard to tell the difference. I have found that other batteries out there can cause conflicts with the phone such as not being able to take a flash picture but this battery does not have those same issues. I would recommend this as a good spare battery to have.

I ordered this battery as a replacement for my Galaxy S3. I intended to just order an OEM battery but with the reviews advising of so many counterfeits I didn't want to chance it even for a whopping $7. What I was more concerned about was getting a battery that would last until I'm eligible for a new phone. I've only been using this battery since Friday night and so far it seems to be doing pretty good. I did condition it first before really using it. I like to play one game on it which does seem to drain the battery faster than normal. Also, I have a bluetooth connected as I can't work and hold the phone when I receive calls and that drains the battery faster that it would if no bluetooth connected. Even with those two issues the battery seems to be holding up well. After being at work for 5 + hrs. the battery was still at 76% so I would have to say without the bluetooth connection and playing a game this battery would last quite a while before needing to be charged. I would recommend it.

Originally I wrote: "Initially worked great but now, about 18 months after I got it, it is now crashing the phone when it still is rated at about 65% power. I have older Samsung batteries that still work." However, here's an addendum due to exceptional customer service:Customer service is essential and great customer service makes me return to upgrade my original review and add these comments. The folks at RAVPower saw the original review and immediately contacted me about replacing the faulty battery, even though the battery was out of warranty. The replacement battery arrived a few days later. That's great service and earns the product another star. If the new battery works as well as promised, that will bring me back to add a fifth star. In the meantime, I highly recommend this company as it puts its customers' needs first. That's makes it worth coming back. Thank you, RAVPower, for caring about customer satisfaction.

My 2-year old S3 randomly wouldn't turn on one day, and the charging indicator light wouldn't even turn on when it was plugged in. I thought the phone was dead for sure, and replaced it. A few months later I got a hunch, and decided to get this battery, figuring it was worth the ~$11 to find out if the battery was the issue. Sure enough, after charging all night on a new battery (and cleaning the connectors with denatured alcohol and a Q-tip), it turned right back on!I'm giving five stars because I was only expecting one battery, but I got two! I don't know how I ever got along with just one. I've been using them for about three months now. The battery life isn't anything spectacular but it's adequate for my needs. I start the day at 7am with a fully charged battery and it is usually dead around 6pm with normal use. I keep the second battery fully-charged in my purse, so I have to go somewhere after work, I just swap it out. They do get pretty hot with heavy use, but I'm not sure if that's an issue with the phone or the battery, since my stock battery had the same issue. Either way, I'm glad I purchased these.

It arrived quickly and working as advertised keeps charge for about three days on stand-by and over a day and a half with normal use.
