FenzerRechargeable Cordless Phone Battery for Radio Shack 23-193 23193 43-0681 Cordless Telephone Battery Replacement Pack

When I went to Radio Shack and saw that it would cost $26 to replace the battery pack in my chargeable phone I walked out of the store thinking hell, I'll just buy a new phone. But before I did that I checked Amazon for a Radio Shack battery alternative and came across these for under 5 bucks (including shipping!). I've been using these phone batteries for months now and they are excellent. I also bought this brand for a couple other cordless phones I have and they too are every bit as good as name brand. Can't go wrong here, folks.Aug.2015 - Going on 4 yrs and still holds a full length charge.

Only had them a few days but are working fine in my old Radio Shack phones so far and price is right. Been using now for 4 months and are working just fine10/22/17 Been using over a year now & both batteries still working fine on my old Radio Shack phones.....

I had searched all over town looking for a new battery pack for my old Radio Shack Cordless Phone, no luck. The closest ones I could find were not exactly what I needed and were like $12. I found exactly what I needed right here for about $3.50, and it shipped for free. How are you going to beat that??? Works fine and maybe I'll get another 15+ years out of it.

These things are all a crap shoot. This one was listed as compatible with my phone but it did not look as pictured. It technically is working but the batteries are not the same physical size as what I had or what was pictured. I'm not sure it will work long term or cause some sort of problem because of this.Buyer beware that the descriptions and pictures are hit or miss on this stuff, particularly from this vendor. The only good thing is that it is cheap and frankly not worth my time to return it.Update: It heated up the phone dangerously so I removed it and returned it. Again, it did not match what was described but they did not credit me the full amount. As I said, it was cheap to start with so not a lot of money here but the company is clearly a sham and criminal, so ya know. Don't buy from them, save yourself the trouble.

Perfect fit to our phone

While the battery itself might have been fine, the plug was the problem (perhaps, in fairness, the one I got was faulty ;-) in that it allowed me to install the batteries with reversed polarity and it burned up my wireless phone. So unless I happen to get another phone that uses the same battery (pretty sure the battery is OK; only the phone is toast), guess I'll never know if it is any good or not. Can I return it or does anyone on here need one … let me know and its yours!Doc

I bought this battery as a replacement for an old Panasonic cordless set that had gone dead. While I found the replacement battery at other locations, it was unacceptably expensive. Amazon provided this at a really attractive price and the battery works great. An old, good, phone has new life!

Update: My battery died after 8 months usage. Will only hold a charge for a day or 2. Was hoping for better.The cost of this battery is very competitive. I wish it were 1100mAh Ni-MH instead of 600mAh Ni-Cd, but that is probably why the cost is so good. If it lasts at least the one year warranty period, I will consider it a good purchase. Time will tell.
