On performance, the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs and standard Blu-ray discs all lived upto its expectations and displayed onscreen HDR10 content. The player can play almost all audio files formats FLAC, ALAC and even DSD for audiophiles. Blu-ray/DVD upscaling is not that great, its not worth trying to upscale all your favorite old low definition movies on your 4K screen. Use the BRAVIA mode as the feature is optimized for BRAVIA Sony TVs. Overall, One of the best players from Sony with excellent image quality, and is a good choice if you are looking for a universal player over the Panasonic DP-UB820 which is a bit better, but more expensive.
