I have this same bag in a couple of other colors. Basically, it's perfect. Lightweight Holds a ton Tons of compartments of all types (zipped, snapped, or open) Wears like iron Can be washed if it gets dirty Just the right size The only thing that's different from my older ones is they no longer have a sew-in key fob inside the main compartment. I actually miss that, as I kept my spare keys attached to it, so I knew I always had a set on hand. But, that's the only change, the rest is the same, and it's a great pocketbook.

UPDATE: The black purse (my new travel bag) arrived today. It is just as wonderful as the Grey Gris. All the compartments have a grey-ish lining so you can see what's inside. And I mean ALL the compartments! Even the front and back zippered sections have the grey-ish lining! No more black hole! Kipling, you are awesome! ORIGINAL REVIEW: Is anyone else on a forever quest to find the right purse? It's a never-ending "Oh, this is a great bag!"... until it's not. I have been using a large Coach carryall for going "out" and a waist pack for going to work and running errands. Wearing a waist pack to travel to work is fine. But snapping it on and off while running errands is getting on my nerves. While out of town last week, I saw a Baggallini bag that was cute and large enough to be called a purse. But then I read some reviews that the quality was not what it used to be, so I skipped buying it. I really wanted a purse to replace my waist pack for errands, so I started my quest...again, and looked at Kipling. I have purchased other Kipling products over the years...backpacks, wallets, waist packs, a messenger bag, and they are high-quality. I still have several of them. I came across the Elysia crossbody. The size seemed right and I liked the compartments. It has good reviews. The purse arrived two days ago. My goodness! I just love it. It is so lightweight and comfortable. It fits everything I need to put in a purse. And it's cute - it looks great!! Both the shoulder straps and crossbody strap are comfortable. But I have shoulder pain so I switched the crossbody strap with a guitar-style purse strap because it distributes the weight better. I buy Art Tribute's purse straps because they are good quality and comfortable. Make sure you buy a strap with silver hardware. How much do I love this purse? After I put everything in it yesterday, I purchased the solid black purse for travel. The black signature embossed version of this purse is in my cart...along with a beautiful Art Tribute strap. That will be my fall/winter bag. I emptied out my Coach carryall and bagged it up for donating. It is as heavy empty as my new Kipling with everything in it. If you want a light weight, good-sized purse, this one is for you!

This is the best purse/small travel bag. Many pockets make it easy to organize and the zippers are sturdy and strong. The canvas material is easy to clean and the entire bag can be placed in the washer to be cleaned. Excellent value for the price. I like the idea of short straps and the longer straps so you can wear it as a crossbody if so desired.

Kipling’s just don’t wear out! Was carrying a smaller Kipling that I’ve had for 6 years and needed a larger purse but didn’t want anything heavy due to multiple hand surgeries. This was the perfect model. I love that it has handles (fabric ones that tuck inside) and an adjustable shoulder strap. Shoulder strap is easily detachable. Very lightweight with one main center (zippered) compartment and an outer compartment on each, front and back that close simply with magnetic snaps. On top of that there are outside zippered compartments (one on front & back) and one on the inside of main compartment. The way this medium bag is constructed makes it difficult for someone to just reach in and grab things from the main compartment. I just wish that it had little metal dots or feet on the bottom but then it’s not a stand-up purse.

Excellent lightweight bag that I use for travel as well as my everyday running around and errands purse. I have bad arthritis in my shoulders that flares up on occasion, so this is just the ticket. Very strong and secure zipper, so great to secure items when traveling. NO IT IS NOT METALLIC. I would consider this a soft shade of black. No metallic involved. One of the colors, a silvery beige, is indeed slightly metallic, but not the black. Due to soft material, very roomy and accommodates just about anything you need to carry (ex travel umbrella / bottle of water and etc). My first bag lasted for about 5 yrs and finally stared to look a bit "old", so have just purchased a replacement. OH, I love that they can be thrown in the wash, cold water, gentle cycle and hang-dry. GREAT after a trip.

I like the size and the multiple pockets in this purse so much, I bought it in a second color. This particular color (navy) is in a material that is easy to wipe off, altho i’m not sure it wouldn‘t absorb an oily/greasy type of stain. I love triple pocket purses with a crossbody strap and if it has small handles - I love them to be flexible and not stiff. This bag hit all the marks I was looking for. That said, it seems pricey for what it is. It’s pretty simple. But it is well made. For me, I have spent hours and hours trying to find the function and size I needed, so when I finally found it - I was willing to pay the price. But cost wise, this wouldn’t be the best deal for everyone.

I absolutely loveee this bag! There are a million pockets in this thing and I can fit so much in it. I have my big planner in the main pocket along with a smaller notebook, and my pens and highlighters and it still zips shut. My iPad mini fits perfect in the front pocket or the back pocket. I was looking for a bag that was small, but could still hold my items I use daily and this bag is perfect. The crossbody strap is removable so you could use this as a shoulder bag too. I do appreciate the longer straps, usually you see smaller straps for carrying, but these are perfect shoulder bag straps.

LOVE IT! So many pockets that I don’t even use them all! Strap is comfortable. Bag is lightweight and holds everything including a decent sized book.
