Perfect for filling gaps where you need to. I was able to stash my power supply inside my OTR cabinet and run only a single cable down to the lights. Makes for a clean look. Just wish the kit included more of the small 1.5” cables OR more rigid connectors. I would’ve liked to have seen 4 4 way rigids instead of 2 4 ways and 2 RGBW->RGB’s that I and majority of others will never EVER use. For the 5 cents it probably costs them for the cables I would’ve also preferred to pay a little more to get a little more. Or have different kits you can buy of individual sizes. At this rate if I needed only 6 more 1.5”, I would then have to buy 3 kits and throw away the rest. Marked my review down by one star due to these.

I was very disappointed that after spending $80 + dollars for the Sylvania Osram Lightify Flex Light Strips + Lightify Flex Light Strips Expansion kit it did not come with the gateway. Let me say this first. There is nothing is the description that tells you the Sylvania wireless gateway is required. It reads " Connect up to 50 strips to a Gateway to sync to your Wi Fi." additionally, in order to use the Osram Lightify app you have to have the wireless gateway which is another $40.I ended up using my Samsung Smartthings and integrated these lightstrips to the other 40 products I have.The install was fine because I have a bit over the 2 ft spacing. Be forewarned that if you cut any strip, it terminates that run; there is no way to extend it because there are no end solder points. I used lightstrip mounting connectors and didn't bother with the double sided tape because that only works with any strip lights for a minute.Since I installed It prior to learning that the Gateway is important to the Sylvania ecosystem I can't return it. I had aspirations of extending it to the 20' so I can cover the top and bottom cabinets in my kitchen, BUT...If you plan on starting off with these because you don't have smart lighting, or if you are thinking of these lights, do some homework and check your wallet. I feel the kit is incomplete because of the wireless gateway. I would ask that the product details should be amended to read "Sylvania Wireless Gateway is Required." because without it or a hub (of your choice) your going to be disappointed.
