First, the good:- Color match to italian surplus vegetato is perfect, matches weight and weave of fabric very well.- Fast and free shipping from the UK.The bad:The XL size (at least) runs small.My head circumference measures 60cm at widest point with a tape measure (I know, I've got a prize country fair pumpkin for a head), so I ordered a XL (61cm). Have had plenty of luck in the past with 61cm sizing in other patrol caps from other manufacturers.Not even close to a fit. Hat measures 59 cm when measured on the outside, which should overestimate actual size.On the other hand, shipping from the US to Europe is prohibitively expensive, so a return is out of the question. I'd eat the (minimal) cost for this one, but I'm not sure that going up a size to 62cm would fix it and then I'd have two hats to give away.

This is a lightweight hat, suitable for summer wear only. While I like this cap, I find the traditional baseball cap better than the patrol cap for keeping the sun out of your eyes.

As a cap, no problem,it's as described and does what it says on the tin.Alas, it is at least far too small. I would usually fit a "M"edium no problem. Sometimes a bit tight, sometimes a bit loose but not enough either way to make much difference.On the basis of previous statement I ordered the MEDIUM. It doesn't fit. It is far too small.Couldn't be bothered to send it back.Used the scissors to make a cut in the back so it sort of fits now. But still tight. I'd say it is more like a XS.Maybe I Was just unlucky. But as it doesn't conform to the standard understanding of small/medium/large, only 3 stars.

Habe aus bisher gemachgter Erfahrung bei Mützen 1xM(57) und 1xL(59) bestellt, obwohl ich Grösse 57 habe.Resultat M ist VIEL zu klein. L ist gerade noch OK aber etwas eng. Bestellt lieber eine Nummer grösser.
