Life is Strange: True Colors (PS5)

Awesome game and story.

One of my favourite Life is Strange storylines. It’s a cozy game with captivating visuals and your decisions have an impact on the storyline, just like other Life is Strange games. I’ve completed this game and would totally recommend this to any gamer.

To preface - I love story driven games, I've played the previous LiS games and most telltale games. I was hoping this game would improve on the LiS series, but it has badly regressed. The Flaws;- This game's story is told so incredibly slow that it's tiring to play. All the 5 chapters could easily be condensed into 2 or 3 if they just removed all the pointless filler. Only the 1st and last chapters have any real action in them. You make very little meaningful choices in this game and the stakes are very low. I can only think of two somewhat hard choices in this game. This mixed with the almost non-existent gameplay means that it's barely a video game. Your powers are very lackluster, you can't turn back time or throw objects around with your mind, but you can hold "x" and find out an NPCs vague thoughts. This comes with some interesting concepts in Chapter 1, where Alex struggles to control her powers around people with strong emotions. However, this problem is never brought up again which is disappointing as it would have made for some good moral dilemmas Fairly short for a AAA game, took me around 6-8 hours. Pros ;- All the characters are interesting and have their own personalities. Alex is also a good protagonist with a good backstory. New Haven is a fun place to explore. The story is enjoyable, albeit a bit cliched and cheesy. The voice acting and facial animations are very well done and fit the tone of the game. Verdict; Despite it's almost fatal flaws, I still enjoyed my time with LiS True Colours. Alex's story and the town of New Haven was enough to keep me hooked for the 6 or so hours it took me to finish the game. This game could have been so much better if they had just followed the old formula and improved it slightly. I wouldn't recommend buying this at full price, I'd say get it for around £20 on sale if you can.

Was so happy to hear that another of this series was being released and enjoyed playing but somehow this time I felt a little 'short changed with this game. The others had more to do, more side games, more interaction and play - and while this one had a good storyline it just felt rushed. There is such a market for this type of game and while I will always be loyal to the Life is Stange games and family I was left wanting more, not in a new game way (although I will of course always want for that) but in a... I wish there had been more in this game as I feel a bit empty and deflated. Like I say, the story line was good; you will find no spoilers here. The characters I found interesting and warmed to them instantly and Alex is a good lead to play and you become involved in her and her story. The town is amazing, the kind of place in which the scenery takes your breath away and the detail painstakingly perfect so well done in that respect as I wouldn't change a thing. I just want more gameplay so lost a star for that and that alone.

I have always really enjoyed the Life is strange series. This one in particular has kept me gripped throughout. I’m now on my third run through trying to get the different endings. The soundtrack is beautiful, with tracks from Novo Amor, Angus and Julia Stone, Dido and Mira Masa feat Ellie Rowsell and Wolf Alice. Bit of kings of Leon thrown I just for good measures. Been a pleasure to play

Bought as a present and they loved it. This is they only one they didn't have in the collection, but over the moon to have a complete collection.

My son wanted this game. He used his Amazon gift card to buy it. When it came he ordered for his Switch but it was for the ps5. He decided to keep it because his uncle has one. He said the graphics are so beautiful and real like it's unbelievable. He really likes it and can't wait to get further into the game. And now he wants to order one for his Switch.

Nous connaissons déjà la série mystère égnimes , et une ambiance : mais avant tout l héroïne charmante un peu perdue mais très attachante . L endroit une petite ville paumée des usa , attention ça ne veut pas dire qu il n y a rien a faire mais qu il a beaucoup à découvrir... Les graphismes sont sympa , un bon jeu si vous ne connaissez la série n hésitez pas si vous la connaissez pas d excuses mdr C est le genre de jeu qui fait aimer ces histoires ou on prend le temps de réfléchir...

solid 10 hour experience of high cutscenes and dialogue wheels. the big reveal at the end made sense to give backstory behind the characters. also think a full game about larping needs to be done after this. would recommend picking it up at around 20 to 30 bucks
