It’s an inexpensive easy install solution to shade plants, catio, patio, motorcycle etc. that works!
I purchased this kit for use on one of the back patios. I have a bucket garden under shade cloths, but when August and September rolls around the plants require even more protection and ventilation to avoid becoming dehydrated. The sun, heat, and humidity is absolutely brutal on vegetables & plants not indigenous to the area (including us humans). This cloth was an inexpensive solution that does a fantastic job of “muting” or filtering the sun and the heat, which in turn extended my tomato and pepper growing season without sunscald or tomatoes turning to orange ‘drips’/teardrops. It provides excellent UV protection and shade depending on your cloth positioning (horizontally or vertically), your needs, and the position/angle of the sun. Fall is now here and the cloth is the perfect awning for my orchids and bromeliads to have ‘spring break’. You can actually feel the difference in temperature when stepping out from under the cloth into the hot sun. The package does come with the hardware needed to attach it, but the easier more effective solution for me was to run rope through the D-rings to avoid needing a ladder for quick removal. It billows out nicely during the daily ‘late afternoon thunderstorms’ and the seam strength, stitching and corners have survived through strong wind gusts & heavy blowing rains from Hurricane Debby. It wasn’t intentional leaving it up, it was merely something I forgot to remove with all the preparations I had to do. When the cloth was removed for Hurricane Helene, there was no noticeable stretching or tearing of fabric, color fading or mold. The cloth is not waterproof, so with heavy rain it does pool up in the center as it rains through, but the material was quick to dry. It is versatile and can be used to also shade your catio space, makeshift greenhouse, motorcycle/sports car, horse/cattle, as well as your outdoor patio. Overall, the cloth looks good, is easy to attach, appears durable, and it blocks enough sun and heat to lower the area temperature. For the size, price and fast shipping, this was definitely worth it! 5 Stars!

Satisfied
Item was delivered on time and well packaged. Looking over the sun shade itself, the weave seems sufficient enough to provide a decent amount of shade while appearing durable. Time will tell if the color will be able to resist fading from the Arizona sun but as received, the color matched the description. I can't speak about any heat retention but I don't expect it to be an issue. Rain retention shouldn't be an issue either.

Too small
The sun shade seemed well made and where it did cover our pool had very effective shade however, due to the triangular shape it ended up to be not big enough to be effective shade cover throughout the day.

Works as advertised.
Our deck faces southwest, so afternoon sun is strong. This makes a big difference and the shade is nice.

Would re purchase
I have used this for 3 years now. It is holding up so well! It does a great job with shading and it has never been damaged from storms. Material is thick and a beautiful rust color.

Worth the price. Great quality
Love love love this. It keeps the sun off the patio and the color pops. Great price. This is our second year and we live in windy area. Worth the money.

Poor quality
The media could not be loaded. This was easy to install and worked well over our kids playground for about 2 years. It gave great shade. But now, at 2 years out, it is falling apart. It has a huge rip in it from a rain storm last night. We take good care of our shade covers. We take them down during the winter time.So now I’m very disappointed in the durability. We bought another shade sail around the same time from another company and that is still going strong.

LOVE my sunshade! You will too!
Wow, these things really are a game changer! I live on a boat, and used those plastic tarps (blue standard, and brown heavy duty) for many years, primarily as a means to keep the sun off of my boat during the hot months of the year, as I don't have AC.They work OK, for a while. But then they block a lot of airflow, get noisily flapping and flogging when the wind blows, and tend to fail in a number of different ways over time. Wind ripping the grommets out, tears, lasting only a few weeks or perhaps a bit over a month before needing $$ replacement...And then I found these sunshades, and it's a whole new world! These things are the bomb-diddly! The FAR outlast the tarps in the harsh southern UV, they are *quiet* when it gets windy, they are built strong (I've yet to have one fail in 3 years, even in winds of 50 mph or more), and best - they let air in while providing great shade and keeping most of the heat from sunshine out.I now have a half dozen of these sunshades - I use them on my boat, at my work shed, and even out on the dock to provide a shaded seating area. While they initially seem to cost more than those tarps, they really don't, as they last years without needing replacement, and do the job much better in every way.
