Good basics, missing some information.
This book has enough information for you if you're just starting out with this diet. Helpful basics right at the beginning, and conversion charts too. There are a few helpful pictures, and if you like a book with no-frills recipes and descriptions, then this is for you. However, for me, a couple of things could have upped my rating:1) pictures of the recipes. I'm one of those visual people, so not having a "this is what it's SUPPOSED to look like" reference is going to be difficult for me.2) Every recipe has a helpful nutrition blurb at the bottom ,as well as how many servings it makes at the top. But nowhere do any of the recipes tell you how MUCH a serving is. For example it will say "Makes 6 servings" and "each serving is 167 calories," but it doesn't tell you exactly what that 167-caloroe serving size equates to. Is it a cup? Three fourths of a cup? I guess you're supposed to separate the whole batch into 6 containers?? Who knows. It's a good baseline but that info would be helpful.

Pass this one up.
This is a terrible cookbook. Since I received the cookbook on Friday (it is now Wednesday) I have made three of the recipes in the book, and all have had something wrong with them. They have needed additional spices/seasons, or adjustments because the end result was too runny, etc. There is eating healthy and there is eating bland. Unfortunately, this is about as bland as one can get, which is too bad because living alone and working full-time I rely heavily on the crock-pot for cooking.

A good, complete manual if you're interested in healthy cooking
As a beginner in the art of cooking, I was looking to find recipes that would fit the entire family. The “Dash Done Slow” helped me understand a modern, yet healthy cooking style I was not familiar with. This book is easy and pleasant to read. It begins by explaining exactly what “dash” means, what to eat and what not to, to whom this diet is recommended and how it will help. I appreciate the fact the servings are clearly determined so you can understand how much of each ingredient to use. All the given recipes mention the calories, fats, fiber and protein intake in the end so you can easily know exactly what you’re eating and control your diet.

Not enough pictures to make me want to explore the recipes.
Very good book with good recipes. NOT enough pictures to help sell me on the meals... I would have liked pictures to see what I could be enjoying. The only pictures are the ones at the beginning of each chapter and those are not captioned. But again, good recipes!

Sodium amount not listed
Recipes do not include amount of sodium. Very disappointing as we are on a very restricted, low sodium diet.

Fabulous Book - Dash Diet Gotta Have!
I ordered 4 cookbooks for the Dash Diet - 3 that are for Slow Cookers or Instant Pots - which I plan to use with my Ninja Foodi.Of the 4 books - this one, "Dash Done Slow" is the very best! It has excellent recipe's with easy to follow instructions - but, it is also the only one that shows how much of each of the food groups you'll be using (daily allowance) with each recipe. Makes following the Dash Diet that much easier!! Love the book.

I use this to help with community wellness education- its great!
The recipes include a macronutrient breakdown, and calorie count. They are all easy to make in your slow-cooker, and have provoked a great deal of interest from people who I work with that are looking for easy, fast, healthy recipes.

Helpful slow cooker cookbook.
I love slow cooker cookbooks, so when I recently had to start doing the DASH diet, it was helpful to me to find this cookbook to make no-fuss recipes. I think it will be very helpful. I have reviewed some of the recipes, and they appear to be easy and healthy..
