Jabra BT2080 Bluetooth Headset [Retail Packaging]

I recently bought a Jabra BT2080 for my wife and I, so we would have something to use while driving. It's a headset with some really nice functions, and for $15 I was quite impressed. The lights are all facing the inside of the ear, so that none show in use. Also, you can use either the ear-retainer clip, ear-gel, or both. We threw away the ear-gel as a personal preference, since neither of us like sticking things in our ears.The sound quality is average. It has sound distortion sometimes, but you can still hear. People won't be fooled into thinking you are not on a bluetooth headset, but that's to be expected. Wouldn't recommend jogging in it. We haven't tried to test the bluetooth range yet, but with our phones in purse or pocket, there is no problem.

I only have one hand and its very convenient for me to talk on the phone while I am doing something else. People like me, who have a disability, its hard to do two things like holding your phone and talking and get distracted by something else or you can't hold two things at the same time.I am glad that I thought this through before getting one and why I needed one.People who have a disability, this is a very good thing because you can hold your stuff and talk on the phone at the same time.Take the time to think about at what I just said.

Problems from the start, it looks good but doesn't deliver. Cuts out during phone conversations, hangs up in the middle of conversations, you can charge it and it fails to keep a charge even for a few days. You never know when it will let you down but it will let you down. I went back to the Motorola HK-201 which I never had a problem with and good news, you can get it on Amazon. Avoid this one like the plauge!

This device does not connect to two phones at the same time; it easily disconnects whenever i put the phone in my pocket or just walks into another room. It starts by giving crackling sounds then it disconnects totally. I used the Jabra wave before this one and it works better it doesn't disconnects easily `like this. I am certainly going to change this device, not worth it ...

the jabra bt 2080 is a great looking bluetooth and really light u wont even feel it in your ears but its performance is not that great.it says the battery last up to six hours talk time but its really like 4 to 5. u cant rally use when ur outside. if its windy your pretty much screwed u can barely hear people and they can barelt hear you. another good point its easy to install to phone or ps3

I've had other Jabra earbuds [met an untimely end in a parking lot], I tried a few others... upgraded the phone so I checked here on the 'Zon to find this at a awesome price... I enjoy the 3 sets of buttons, some other sets have you fumbling with one button for everything.. this unit has the on/off on the back behind the Ear speaker, the Up/Down on the bottom and the Ans/End strip on the front. Pairing and resetting are easily done [even with the problems with my droids BT weirdness].. Unlike some of the previous BT headsets I've used this unit stays connected all through the apt.

Design and Build: 5/5The lightest and most beautiful headset I could find at this price. Has excellent build quality and is surprisingly lightweight! Comes with two different-sized ear-hooks. Comfortable fit, no pain after wearing it at a stretch of 12 hours. Comes with an ear-gel. Hangs very snugly without an ear-hook, though I prefer using the ear-hook just to be safe. Decent battery backup. Lasted about three days on a single charge. Comes with a micro-usb charger, can also be charged from the computer's USB port using the included data-cable. Charging takes about one-and-a-half hour. A dedicated power button and intelligent button positioning make it easy to operate without mistakes. The buttons are hard to press but that's for the better as it makes it less likely that a button will get pressed by accident. Still, they are a bit too hard.Features: 4/5Good quality microphone picks up voice pretty clearly, albeit not as clearly as the phone's microphone does (Bluetooth technology comes with these shortcomings). Has Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, voice dialing, call reject, redial, call transfer, battery and connection display on the inside. The display proves very useful at times (e.g. when the headset is fully charged). Can pair up to 8 devices but does not connect to more than one device at a time.Audio Output: 3/5Normally, sounds OK at 50%-70% volume, but in very noisy conditions, need to press the speaker to the ear even at max. volume. Other times, max. volume feels very loud.Working Range: 4/5Even if the phone is in another room and the doors are left open, I don't miss a notification, message or a call. Otherwise, works flawlessly (e.g. when the phone is in a trouser pocket).Value for Money: 5/5I bought this device after spending a considerable amount of time looking for a good Bluetooth headset at an affordable price. There were some other decent headsets from Plantronics, Nokia, Samsung and a few 'unheard of' manufacturers; but since Amazon did not ship Nokia and Samsung headsets to India, the list narrowed down to just two brands: Jabra and Plantronics. I finally selected this headset and am very happy with my decision.

It's comfortable however it seems that I need to yell for it to hear me say the word "yes". Also doesn't disconnect calls the easiest. But when talking people have no problem hearing me and I can hear them. The battery also lasts a long time before it needs charging. Overall, I like the product.
