V.A.M.P.: Book One—Serena & Katerina

Love this book and this hasn’t happened to me in a long time...I actually could not wait for bedtime to read new chapters!I loved the story. The author was so thoughtful in the development of the characters and really made me believe in the history of the vampire culture and what an 800 year old vampire would be doing, how she would act, what she would wear and how she phased. Truly incredible. This book will really call out to those true blood nerds such as myself. I loved that show and was so sad when it came to an end. Katarina and Serena are my Sookie and Bill. And yes there was the token bisexual vampire in that show, but this book puts the lesbian vampire front and center and as the hero. Love it!Last thing....I never lost interest. I was always excited to flip to the next page. Do yourself a favor and read this!

Thank you Kimberley for a great romance story. Both Serena and Katerina were well developed characters and you carefully developed their romance in a believeable fashion. Thanks so much. I have timed my finish of this first book to the day before the next one is released (I preordered it). Look forward to starting it tomorrow.

Ohh my!! This book was fantastic! Hot, steamy and suspenseful! I couldn't get enough. I was reading it on my breaks at work. Serena and Katerina were charismatic, funny and so hot! I enjoyed the explanation of the blood in the wine bottles and the name of the person, the year and the state. So creative. I didn't mind the back in forth in the chapters. I liked the different point of views and Brooke being in there too! That cliffhanger though! I can't wait to start the next one.

I was in the mood for a vamping fiction and this book fit the bill. A wee bit on the wordy side, reminded me of those romance novels my mom used to read where ya sorta roll your eyes at the profuse confessions of love and adoration, but the action was good and the steamy scenes were hot and heavy. Delivered on all the lesbian and vampire tropes 10 fold so if you are looking for the sexy vampire power suit, this will do nicely:)

Between the author repeatedly switching between present and past tense, and the recap of the previous scene in each new chapter from the two main characters' perspectives, I'm not sure I will make it through this book. I also don't like how there is so much focus on the two women finding each others' jewelry and dresses etc so sexy. It's weirdly offputting because its mentioned over and over in different ways.

Was an enjoyable read. Getting to know Serena and Katerina was an exciting ride.Ms. Todd has an interesting back story about her vampires like they can be born and turned. I don't want to give away everything so please read the book. Some questions were answered while reading the book, but now we have more.Thank goodness there's a sequel! Yay!

I don't want to drop spoilers, which makes this difficult. This is an easy to read book that continuously draws you in deeper. It us worth the read. I will go so far as to say this series is my new " must read"!

I loved this book. It was great how I got the perspective from each character...which made it easy to follow. The chemistry was awesome as was the storyline. You can’t help but feel or fall in love with the main character. It was hard to put down. Plus it was super sexy...I want my own vampire please. I can’t wait for the next book. Thanks to the author!

.Absolutely 5 stars for this book! It can be said that this book is perfect. A really nice story and the chapters of Serena and Katerina with their different points of view make this book even more interesting. You can't stop reading. I can hardly wait for the second Book and I hope it comes very soon.
