Q: Today the ac power adapter starting making a loud whining sound, from the ac adapter's fan. it was always silent before today. worried, anybody else?

This is normal operation and has done the same with mine. Whenever the temp inside the power supply reaches a level which it determines needs to be cooled, it will increase the speed of the internal fan to lower the temp. This may happen for any number of reasons any of which can happen without you having done anything with batteries or power supplying. Hope this helps.

Just go to "returns and orders" on Amazon, look up the order, then contact seller. I found them to be very responsive.

Less than 90 minutes, all four batteries

Mine is working great 4 batteries at once..did you have it on discharge? If you allow batteries to discharge fully.. It ruins them
