Amazingly good; tastes a lot like homemade Rösti!
Unlike other prepackaged Rösti, this one doesn't give any smell or taste hints that it's preserved in any way. It tastes like fresh potatoes and that's it! Looks great too and next time I'll take a picture; I actually ate the entire batch for lunch! We frequently vacation in Switzerland and I'm pretty sure I've had this in tourist-level restaurants. Obviously Zürich's popular Swiss Chüchi restaurant on Rosengasse isn't going to serve this! The instructions don't say to add any oil, so I didn't at first, but found that I had to use a very high temperature to get it to brown. So I added just a touch of peanut oil to the pan and that really helped to get the desired crispy brown result.

Convenience, and to have a different hash brown experience!
I was curious as to what made a difference for Swiss hash browns, plus the convenience. I divided the package into three and have cooked each section separately; I added some chopped onion, and after cooking until crisp, served with egg on top. Very good. Enough for 1, and a half, in each third.

Rösti, a Swiss meal staple
best rösti (hashbrowns) ever - the Swiss have truly figured out how to preserve/can patoto products that retain their integrity - the U.S. made frozen or dehydrated hashbrowns are no match at all - this is the best next to the actual real thing, that is a freshly handmade rösti.

Horrible
If you don’t want to feel bad, DON’T BUY this Rosti potatoes. They’re extremely heavy & they gave me a terrible stomach ache. Otherwise the taste is not rich 🤮🤮🤮 They’ll de Swiss but they don’t taste like rosti potatoes !
