Great photos,a little light on verbiage for my taste, but the images are awesome.

An incredible documentation of record shops worldwide.As a former record shop owner this book is a treasure.

Not a good value, very scanty information. What you get, for $50+ including significant postage for such a heavy book, is very large scale pictures of people working in record stores, their bins and their storefronts. And some kind of directory of "record stores in the world" which is just limited to the few pictured in the book. No historical and/or anecdotal information on the stores themselves or the owners. Very disappointed!

Excellent but the owner of Planet Records is John Damroth (misspelled in book).

Very good for a collector

Saw this book in Manchester and ordered on Amazon a couple of days later, fantastic and fascinating book with excellent photos, great coffee table book (and I mean that in a complimentary way), interesting how the Beatles 'Butcher' cover crops up as the most expensive vinyl a lot of the stores have ever sold.

Sadly I returned this as by far the best photo was on the front cover. Inside there were far too few pictures of the record stores and far too many pictures of the customers. V disappointing because at £40 & a present for my vinyl loving husband, I had high hopes. The text was also very light on detail.

Bel prodotto editoriale per gli amanti del genere, ottima la qualità delle immagini e la resa della stampa, bella l'idea e piuttosto completo il taglio del reportage; testo non economicissimo, ma comunque un 'must have' da sfogliare e risfogliare. Consigliato.
