I can't remember the last time our household bought an oven mitt. The time came as the ones we were using were wearing thin by the finger tips and the transfer of hot items from the oven to stovetop were becoming painful. To be honest, I was looking for an economical/utilitarian replacements to the ones we had (they were "fancier" ones from a fancy home store) and these were them. I found a like new warehouse deal for about 40 percent off new. They arrived new looking with no damage.The material feels like a heavier canvas type material which is more shiny than an all cotton mitt which would be softer. The thickness is good and heat resistance is also good. The design is fine, nice quilted pattern -- to me -- it doesn't look cheap at all. For someone looking for a basic oven mitt that is effective and looks aren't really that important this is a good value.As for longevity, hard to predict that, however, by the weight of the mitts and the apparent durable construction, it seems like it will last.

Great length and hot surfaces. I picked gray because the gray won't show flour, etc. and my counter tops are gray and black granite. They are well padded.

These oven mitts are an excellent choice if you're looking for something thick and durable to protect from the heat of ovens, grills, fires, or anything else you may be cooking on. I buy these for use at my work in a quality pizza shop and I have purchased them multiple times over the years. They have always served us well and last through several months of 10+ hours of daily use taking hot pizza trays out of a 500° oven. I will continue to repurchase these mits as necessary because I personally think they are the best choice for the price.

They were a little stiffer and longer than I was thinking. I might buy this type of item in person in the future to be sure they are a good fit for my hand. They are a quality product though

I love the size of these of oven mitts and they worked really well for about 3 months or so and then they started fraying. I am still using them, at least for one month now with them starting to fray, but I did almost burned myself the other day in the area where they are fraying. Part of the reason they might not have lasted very long for me, is that I do use them to pull in and out a cast iron Dutch oven that is heated up to 500°, so they are getting constant use at high heat holding very high temperature items. They were a good price, but really didn’t last long enough for me to ever want to buy them again.
