I bought the 64GB iOS Flash Drive to store music and photos without taking up all of the memory on my phone. It comes in a metal housing and has a USB connector on one end and a lightning iPhone connector on the other. File transfer to the device was very fast. There is an app that you download on your phone, iDiskk Pro, that enables you to copy photos from your phone or access photos and files on the drive. I wasn’t surprised to discover that Apple doesn’t let you move music and video files that don’t have the Digital Rights Management information embedded, so I can’t use move a lot of my music library that I put on the drive to my phone. However, I can play music with the drive plugged in and I will use it to copy photos and videos off of my iPhone to put on a separate backup drive that I keep all photos on. Overall, it does everything that I expected, but I wish it could access and transfer all files to and from all locations on the phone.

I purchased this product to store the ever increasing number of the photo's on my iPhone. Initial setup was a snap & I successfully moved everything off the phone and on to the storage device. It was an easy step to then plug the iDisk into a USB port on a computer and copy everything off.Big drawback was when I went use the iDisk a month or so later, the iDisk app on the iPhone came back & said "iDisk not found". did what I could, flipped it over, cleaned contacts, reinstall the app. All to no avail. iDisk tech support helped on a couple of these issues. when we exhausted all easy avenues, they told me send it back to them and they would credit back my purchase price, plus shipping to my Amazon account, which they did - no hassles. This was about 45 days after the product arrived..Once I hear back from them as to what was wrong with the iDisk, I'll probably order another one. a good solid feel to this device, plus if it works as it did out of the box, I'm happy. Plus they have confidence in their product.Revision - I ordered another iDiskk. received it promptly and it works fine. have fingers crossed that it lasts. now 5 stars

I was hesitant to order this, but I really needed a way to back up my photos from my phone and to also securely carry information that I may need to view on my phone while traveling. The device is small and easy to travel with. The app is pretty slick and easy to access. Only problem is that once security is turned on, the secure folders are not visible except when attached to the phone - cannot be viewed on a computer. This is a bit of a glitch as it should be accessible from both - with the password, of course. One other issue is that the photos transferred are exactly in the format on the phone. Thus, the new photo formats of the recent iPhones are not jpeg files, they are HEIC, and what is stored on the iDiskk are the HEIC files, which are not compatible with anything except Apple's Photos application. Fortunately, there are online facilities to convert all those HEIC files to readable jpeg files. Just be aware that the iDiskk app does not offer the option of converting those files as they are stored onto the drive.

I purchased this product so i could free up space from my phone which is mostly photos and videos, yet they could still be very accessible in case i’d like to use them. I imagined it like having an extended iphone memory. But when I started using it, it is not working, my files are not transferring even though I followed everything that the manual says. So I contacted the customer service team, and they have been very responsive. They walked me through the steps so i can make the usb work for my iphone. Unfortunately, it still did not work. But what is great is, as part of their customer service, they are sending me a new one to replace the one that’s not working. Once I receive the new one, i’ll update this review and maybe upgrade them to 5 star if the product finally works. Also, I like the product very much physically - the color, the texture, and all it’s physical attributes.UPDATE: I received the replacement today and it works! I am so happy with it so I am upgrading this to 5-star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The product works fairly well. I had some issues with file transfer where, when transferring very large files, (movies) the device (or the software) would reset itself and the only way to recover was to remove the device from the phone and reinsert it.The device itself has no protective cover, so either the lightning connector or the USB connector is exposed at all times. A removable cover on the USB would have been a simple solution to protect the device.The software offers no way to move files. If you copy them, there i a little trash can icon on the screen, but this deletes the copy and not the original. I don;t knoow why they even have it.

Lost and Found and Lost Once More: Following the travels of this purchase via the USPS tracking system has been similar to watching a remake of the "The Love Story" on the Twlight Zone. After a mysterious USPS delivery attempt the package was "ready for pick up" at the local post office located only nine miles "west" of my rural mailbox. The package was then "lost in delivery" within the confines of the same post office but by the very next morning the package had moved to an entirely new post office following another delivery attempt "ready for pick up", now only five miles "east" of the my cabin door. We all know there is a "stay at home" pandemic so how am I missing all these delivery attempts? Once I dig out my snowshoes I am heading "east" to find that mail person unless the package tracks elsewhere. I haven't been out of this cabin or talk to another human since the March blizzards. I have no symptoms so keep me posted on the direction of travel to follow. Stay Safe
