High-end features for an absolute steal of a price.
I have been a PC gamer for years, and I have been searching for a new monitor for quite some time. I researched dozens of different brand names from low end budget to high end LG, Samsung, or BenQ gaming monitors, and this Sceptre 27" 1440p HDR gaming monitor checked all my boxes. I wanted as many high-end features that I could find, while paying as little as possible (dont we all). This monitor is with out a doubt one of the best budget monitors that you will find in the 1440p range. It even out ranks or beats some high end monitors that I have come across. It comes with 10bit color or 8bit with dithering which is comparable. 1.07 billion colors at 135% sRGB which means it has great wide color gamut. It has 1m GtG latency and its brightness peaks at 450nits with HDR400. For a 1440p IPS,144 frames per second, HDR capable, 10bit wide color gamut w/ HDR, sporting 1ms grey-to-grey latency at 135% sRGB, this monitor is an absolute beast. Try finding these specs on another 1440p HDR monitor and see how much you will have to pay. This is my first time using HDR and this monitor is brighter than most other 1440p HDR gaming monitors that peak out at around 400. So all these colors pop and the fact that its an IPS screen helps bring things to life. For below $200, you will not find a better gaming monitor (trust me, I looked for months). Also, Sceptre has a 'No dead pixel guarantee'. So thats a relief right from the start that no matter what you wont be stuck with a green or black spot(s) chillin on your brand new gaming monitor. Now as it is a 'budget' monitor there are some caveats, but for the price they are perfectly acceptable. First 10-bit is only available using 120hz, if you want to use 144hz its 8-bit w/ dithering which is not the same thing, but its very hard to tell the difference between the two. It is also possible that my Display Port cable is an older version and its not letting me access the higher setting because of it, but I dont think so. Also, 1ms GtG latency only comes on if you select the 'overdrive' option within the monitors settings. Otherwise its 5ms. Again, not a big deal because its easy to access. The last negative thing I have to mention is the stand. Its a big monitor with a beefy and very tall stand. You cannot adjust the height unless I am missing something. You can tilt the screen in all directions, up/down/left/right and rotate it into portrait view, which is nice, but I would like it a few inches lower. The bezels are nice and fairly small on the left and right sides.Again, overall you will be hard pressed to find a comparable 1440p IPS HDR gaming monitor for this price that are rockin these kind of specs 10-bit 135% sRGB is hard to find even on high end models. Ive had zero issues in the past 3 months of constant use and Im glad I waited and kept searching until I found this one. If you have read other comments about HDR not working or a 'washed-out' look, that is a problem with HDR settings within windows and not a monitor problem. I recommend that if you do have an issue (I had no issues at all), then search for an HDR settings guide and you will be good to go! I hope this guide has helped and besides, if you dont like it, you can return it and try your second choice! However, once you launch your first game, you will be glad you bought it.

Best Purchase I've Made In A Long Time
I've been looking forward to the chance to review the Sceptre 32 inch QHD IPS Monitor (HDR400 2560x1440) since it arrived, because I'm so pleased with it.Background: I'm a value buyer -- translation: a cheapskate -- so I look for good deals to be able to stay within my very limited budget. The first thing this Sceptre monitor impressed me with were its specs. My research didn't turn up any other monitor with comparable specifications anywhere near the under-$200 price of this Sceptre. Not to mention that the manufacturer lists this unit for $649 on their site.(These days, flat-screen monitors -- like this Sceptre -- are probably in less demand than curved monitors. That didn't matter to me. Your mileage may vary.)While I'd never heard of the Sceptre brand before, their web site says they've been in business since 1984. (That's about as long as I've been fiddling around with computers.)Everything worked perfectly out of the box.Getting it out of the box took some doing because this sumbitch is H E A V Y!It was extremely well packaged and protected and arrived in pristine condition. Some of the weight is attributable to the monitor's size and the beefy stand. But it's also ruggedly constructed -- especially the included stand -- and both the fit and the finish of all parts and surfaces are first-class, and a definite "pro."When I first turned the Sceptre on, my reaction was, "This sumbitch is B R I G H T"!Text is clear and sharp and the large viewing space is a whole 'nother world from my previous 27" monitor.(Bonus: The monitor arrived with an unexpected "monitor cover": a light blocker and privacy aid for the sides and top. In my setup the monitor is backlit by a large window directly behind it, so this feature really saves my eyes during daylight hours. While advertised as a gaming monitor, the ample real-estate of the 31.5 diagonal screen means text is large, crisp, and clear -- a real blessing for my aging eyes, even though I don't spend much time playing games.Monitor has built-in speakers, which I don't use. (One of the reviews I saw mentioned noise from the speakers, but I didn't notice any when I tried them.)I'm not the best person to review gaming equipment, but as an all-purpose computer monitor, and for my needs, the Spectre E325B-QPN168 checks all the right boxes. There are better monitors out there, I am sure, but nothing else I saw was this good in this price range.Pros: Quality build, superb fit and finish.Excellent performance specificationsVery BrightAdjustment menu can be viewed on screenIPS screen144hz2560x1440DP 1.2, HDMI 2.0 and 2x HDMI 1.4 inputsTilt, angle, and height adjustableCan be used in horizontal or vertical modeBuilt-in speakers, for those who want themBest bang for the buck.Cons:Flat screen (not curved)Control buttons may be difficult for some to reach on rear of unitHad never heard of the brand before
