TWIST Hit Reset Light Clarifying Shampoo, 13 ounces

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is my holy grail clarifying shampoo. I have fine, curly hair and this does an amazing job of giving me that clean feeling while not drying out my hair. Please tell me it isn’t discontinued!

I apply oil to my hair pre-shampoo so have tried quite a few clarifying shampoos. Most of them suggest to use twice and that was supremely drying my scalp & hair. Especially, the high-end ones. My scalp was itchy and flaky just two days post washing. Then, I mixed first wash with clarifying and second with a hydrating one and that ended up leaving my roots flat.Low & behold I try Twist. It said it’s a light & non-stripping shampoo so I guessed it could be better than deep cleansing one. I was surprised by the amount I got for $7.I used it on my 4th day, heavy oiled hair. It removed all the oil in first wash and didn’t leave my hair a squeaky feeling. It also lathered well.The second part of the test was how long can I go between washes. I went 5 days and finally washed on the 6th day without oil this time. It cleaned well in the first wash again; however, there was a slight squeaky feeling this time which went away with the L’Oreal bond repair conditioner.The amazing thing is that I spent 15min on styling my hair by spraying leave-in, combing, side parting my hair and then applying gel and scrunching. For the first time ever in a long time a cast actually formed. My hair looked fuller and my curls were easier to form.I think I will be repurchasing this for the foreseeable future. I can have a clean scalp in just one wash. My scalp & hair isn’t dry like a straw and my curl pattern looks defined. I don’t think more can be asked of it at such a reasonable price.

I have used this shampoo and this shampoo alone for the past 4 years or so. I have never written a review before but this one really warrants it. I love everything about it. I love that I can detangle my hair after using just the shampoo which is incredible with a clarifying shampoo. I love that it makes my hair and scalp feel super clean without using a boatload of product. I love how affordable it is and how well it works for the price. I love the scent and I am very very sensitive to scented products, they typically give me a headache but this one is so pleasant and not overpowering. My partner who also has curly hair has also been converted to using it for the past couple of years and he also loves it and the scent, as the scent is pretty unisex which I love. I love how its helped define my curls. All around amazing product. I hope they never stop making it.

With curly hair, you definitely have to go the extra mile to take care of it. It’s super essential to cleanse but I normally find all cleansing shampoos make my hair dry and strip all oils making it feel stringy. This is the first product that does NOT do this. My scalp and hair feel amazing after using this and truly allows my hair to then absorb conditioner better. I do also like using this in my routine, followed by one of Twist’s overnight deep conditioners. I notice a difference from how well my hair absorbs product after the cleansing as well as styling, my curls look more defined and style better. I always have this product on hand.

I’m a big fan of Ouidad products. Their higher end products are effective and last long. I feel like they maintain those qualities with the Twist line as well. This shampoo lathers up and cleanses the hair extremely well. I only end up using about 4 pumps total on my hair and it gets the job done. For context, I have naturally curly hair (type 4) that is high in density. It cleanses the hair without leaving it feeling stripped of moisture. A little goes a loooonnnggg way! The scent is very light and clean, so it won’t give you a migraine. You get a lot more for your money with this shampoo. I recommend this product to everyone! 10/10 would recommend and buy again!

This and all their other hair products are and have been a life saver for me and my hair.I use to use Monday and I love that hair brand too but my hair was just too curly and I really needed something for my hair and the weather at the same time.This right here, plus the other conditioner I have and the spray de tangling, works wonders and I have been a repeated customer for the past year and a half. It keeps my hair feeling less heavy, not oily, and definitely keeping my curls bouncy. I have the weather down conditioner and the curly hair conditioner as well, I have the light shampoo . I use the shampoo on top and the conditioner at the bottom at the same time, works wonders and less worry bout scalp issues, and or oily hair let a long dry flaky hair.Note if you want to keep your curls , don't brush through your hair after the shower.

Love this product, I’ve been using it on my very wavy long hair and it works great to reduce build up and doesn’t strip my hair. Its lather is like regular shampoo and my hair feels light and hydrated after use.

As a person with oily scalp and curly hair, I have been looking for a shampoo that will help me deal with both.After having used this shampoo for over a month now I can say that it works pretty well. I’ve use this every time I wash my hair. It helps clear up my extra oil without drying my hair out too much like other clarifying shampoo’s tend to do. Unfortunately, this also means if I’ve got a lot of oil buildup, I do feel like I have to wash my hair twice with this shampoo.My biggest complaint is the scent. I’m not a fan of the “Twist” scent that is in this shampoo. It smells a bit like Axe body spray to me, which I personally don’t like. (I’ve got poor memories associated with this particular smell.) The scent also lingers for a long time, which would be great if I actually liked it. Thankfully, the smell isn’t super strong so I just deal with it because the shampoo itself works well for my hair and I don’t want to waste perfectly good product.I likely won’t purchase this shampoo again until there are different scents.The search for the perfect shampoo continues.
